Hyderabad University has released a schedule for admission to Ph.D on the official website. The admission counseling will be held on January 2 and 2, 2024. Go through the article below fore more details.

University of Hyderabad releases the schedule for admission to PhD for January 2025 session. The notification for selected candidates for interviews will be out on November 25, 2024. Admission to PhD will be conducted from January 2 to 3, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

  • UGC NET / CSIR NET / JRF / GATE / GPAT / ICAR / ICMR / DBT qualifiers are generally given preference. Some departments may also accept GATE, GPAT, ICAR, ICMR, DBT, or similar exams, depending on the discipline.
  • Candidates must clear this entrance test if they have not qualified through a recognized national exam.
  • 55% for General and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates are required.

Documents Required

  • Completed Application Form
  • Proof of Age
  • Undergraduate Degree Certificate and Marksheet
  • Postgraduate Degree Certificate and Marksheet
  • If applicable, M.Phil. Degree Certificate and Marksheet
  • Provisional certificates are accepted if the final degree certificate is pending.
  • Scorecard of UGC-NET, CSIR-UGC-NET, JRF, or UoH Entrance Examination, as required for the program. Some Ph.D. programs might also accept GATE scores or other equivalent exams.
  • Research Proposal or Statement of Purpose (SOP)
  • Category/Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • PWD Certificate (if applicable)
  • Migration Certificate
  • Conduct/Character Certificate
  • Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Photo Identification Proof
  • Passport-size Photographs
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Employed Candidates
  • Experience Certificates (if applicable)

Candidates must bring the original and self-attested copies of the above-mentioned documents. Documents must be authentic as unauthenticity can lead to cancellation of candidature.
