Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is scheduled to start the NEET UG Counselling 2025 on July 21, 2025. The counselling will be conduced on the official website mcc.nic.in. The counselling dates and details have not been announced on the website.

MCC conducts the counselling for the 15% AIQ seats and the remaining 85% will be managed by state level counselling authorities. The counselling will be held for of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and other allied medical courses.

This year, NEET UG 2025 exam was conducted on May 4, 2025 for 22.7 lakh candidates. The result was released on June 14, 2025. Only 12,36,531 candidates qualified after NEET 2025.

NEET 2025 Seat Matrix
NEET counselling 2025 will cover approximately 1.8 lakhs MBBS Seats in more than 700 medical colleges of India. The seat allotment will be done as per the merit performance of the candidate, the candidate’s choice and the availability of seats.

As of now, the starting date for NEET Counselling 2025 registration is July 21 and ends on July 28, 2025. The choice filling and locking will be from July 22 to 28, followed by Round 1 seat allotment results on July 31, 2025. Counselling and subsequent rounds, which include Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy, will continue through to September 2025.

MCC has officially released the NEET counselling dates 2025 on the official website – mcc.nic.in. The registration process will be open from July 21 and choice filling starts on July 21. The last date for registration and choice filling is July 28, 2025.
Minimum marks for Counseling in NEET are the scores that students must score in NEET 2025 to participate in NEET Counseling 2025. NEET qualifying marks are different for different categories as mentioned below.
- General Category candidates: 686-144 (50th percentile)
- SC/ST/OBC Candidates: 143-113 (40th percentile)
- General-PWD Candidates: 143-127 (45th percentile)
- SC/ST/OBC-PWD Candidates: 126-113 (40th percentile)
NEET Counseling 2025 will be conducted online on the official website of MCC for 15% AIQ seats and on respective state Counselling official websites for 85% of state quota seats. The whole process is online but candidates must report in-person to the allotted college for admission.
Candidates have to pay a NEET counselling fee 2025 to register. Note that the counselling fee is non-refundable and a security deposit to be returned based on the categories of the candidate.

NEET counselling schedule 2025 is expected to be released soon on the official website – mcc.nic.in. The counselling registration and document verification starts in the last week of July 2025. The merit list will be released after registration closes.
Round 1 seat allotment results are expected to be out by the first week of August. Counselling and subsequent rounds, which include Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy, will continue through to September 2025. State quota counselling will run in parallel from July through November 2025.
Usually, the counseling process begins almost four to five weeks after the result declaration. Tis year, NEET 2025 scores was announced on 14th of June 2025. Hence, the counselling process is likely to begin by the fourth week of July 2025. This helps the MCC to publish the detailed seat matrices and counselling schedules.
MP High Court has ruled against the NEET UG re-test 2025 for candidates affected by power outage in Indore and Ujjain exam centers. The division bench stated that re-test for a small group will cause logistical chaos and compromise the integrity of the exam. Also no conclusive data showed performance dips due to the blackout.
Officially, 19 exam centers in Indore and Ujjain faced power failure for upto an hour. 75 candidates were adversely affected by the power outage.
