IIT Patna and IIM Bodh Gaya Signed an MoU for Joint Interdisciplinary Programs

New Delhi: IIT Patna and IIM Bodh Gaya signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 09, 2024, on interdisciplinary education and research. As a part of this collaboration, the two institutes will work together on academia, research, and consultancy projects.

The MoU has a five-year validity. Under the MoU, IIT Patna and IIM Bodh Gaya will introduce dual degree programs that combine the technical expertise of IIT Patna with the managerial expertise of IIM Bodh Gaya. The MoU was signed by IIM Bodh Gaya Director Dr. Vinita S. Sahay and IIT Patna Director Dr. T.N. Singh. 

The collaboration also will focus on International partnerships. Both institutes will engage with international institutions on matters of student exchange programs, research, and publications. The program will also focus on the current needs of the industry and train students in relevant skills to shine during the placements. 

This initiative between IIT Patna and IIM Bodh Gaya is expected to make a significant impact on the educational practices of both institutes. A statement from IIT Patna said, “By leveraging their respective strengths and resources, both institutions will make substantial contributions to education, research, and societal development.”
