This is the 16th patent granted to IIT Indore out of 85 filed so far. The unique approach will allow upcoming processors to access data from processor on-chip memory in record time.

It will also improve the accuracy, speed, and energy efficiency of data processing in neuromorphic computer chips, low-energy wearable electronics devices, smartphones, personal healthcare assistants, and smart Cyber-Physical Systems applications.

The innovation has resulted in the creation of a semiconductor memory architecture for low-energy electronics devices that can withstand fluctuations in the modern integrated circuit fabrication process.

Dr Bhupendra Singh Reniwal, who holds a PhD from IIT Indore, and Professor Santosh Kumar Vishvakarma, Faculty, Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Indore, invented the patent.

Reniwal was involved in the development of energy-efficient memory architecture and I/O circuit design, whereas Vishvakarma specialized in research on energy-efficient and reliable SRAM memory design, enhancing performance and configurable architecture for edge Artificial Intelligence, reliable, secure design for IoT applications, and design for reliability.

Recently, Indore has announced that it will deliver new technology to the Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Corporation, benefiting both the company and the consumer.

A two-member IIT Indore team paid a visit to West Discom's headquarters in Pologround On Thursday, April 21, 2022.

The West Discom will receive artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities from IIT Indore. A team of academic members and institute students will work on this.

Meanwhile, IIT Indore Admission 2022 is ongoing for PhD programs for 2022-23 session. Check details here
