IIT Delhi Collaborates with TMU for Materials and Device Development

New Delhi: During the Fourth National Conference on Materials and Devices (NCMD), Teerthanker Mahaveer University announced the collaboration with the physics department of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). The purpose of this collaboration is for research in semiconductor technology.

The director of TMU, Akshat Jain expressed optimism about the manufacturing of semiconductor devices and said that these devices play an important role in modern tool construction.

Fourth National Conference on Materials and Devices witnessed the presentation of 22 research papers on day one. The experts discussed the complexity of semiconductor devices their significance and their applications in all tools.

To face the challenges of the 21st Century the academic experts highlighted the need for inventing materials and devices. Pankaj Srivastava, professor of the physics department of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, and RK Dwivedi, conference general chair emphasized the need for collaboration to speed up the semiconductor research.

The Director of the solid-state physics laboratory at DRDO, Meena Mishra, elaborated on the utility of DRDO in the defense sector. She talked about “advancements in radar capabilities achieved through gallium nitride technology and discussed practical applications, such as laser diode technology and infrared imaging through thermal imaging”.

Registrar of TMU, Aditya Sharma spoke about fostering innovations and the role of educational institutions in achieving them. 

At the conference, insights were also shared by the Director of Advanced Sensor Research Organization, Shyam Sundar Tiwari and Diptonil Banerjee.
