New Delhi: IIM Bodh Gaya has organised its 10th orientation program to welcome a diverse batch of MBA and PhD programs. The orientation program featured various performances including Vedic chanting and a Bharatanatyam recital of Ganesh Vandana. The event was held from July 05 to July 07, 2024.
As per IIM Bodh Gaya, the orientation was held for a total of 496 students, welcoming 302 students into the 10th batch of the flagship MBA program, 92 students into the second MBA-DBM program, 91 students into the second MBA-HHM program, and 11 scholars into the PhD program.
IIM Bodh Gaya MBA Batch 2024-26 Overview
The MBA batch has a batch strength of 302 students, out of which 73 are female students. This year, 53.16% of students have enrolled from engineering backgrounds and 46.84% are from non-engineering backgrounds. A total of 101 students who have joined the program have work experience of 22 months.
For IIM Bodh Gaya MBA DBM Batch 2024-25, the total batch strength is 92 students, including 18 females and 23.1% students from non-engineering backgrounds. While the MBA-HHM batch includes 91 students, including 15 female students, with 83.5% representing non-engineering backgrounds.
IIM Bodh Gaya PhD Program 2024 Highlights
IIM Bodh Gaya PhD Program 2024 admitted 11 new scholars, out of which 5 are female students. The batch includes students from various domains including Marketing, Commerce, Economics, Computer Science Engineering, IT, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, and Psychology.
Scholars are admitted to PhD programs offered in various areas such as Finance, Operations Management, Economics, Information Technology Systems and Analytics, Marketing, Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, and Strategy and Entrepreneurship.

On the first day of IIM Bodh Gaya Orientation Program 2024, the event featured a cultural event, "Novicia 3.0," which covered dance performances, poetry recitations, and singing, creating a celebratory atmosphere. The second day featured sessions from leading professional Mr Navneet Nilendra, International Art of Living teacher and wellness coach.
Dr Vinita Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya welcomed the new batch. Prof. Pankaj Kumar, Associate Professor from Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business and Dr Neeta Nagar, Managing Director - Client Account Leadership at Accenture also joined the sessions and shared their insights with students.
The Chief Guest Mr Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Sr. IAS, Secretary - Agriculture & Transport Dept., Govt. of Bihar along with Mr Kamal Nath, CEO of Sify Technologies, Mr Vivek Jha, Head, of Strategy & Operations at Global Drug Development, Novartis India, Mr Gautam Kumra, Senior Partner and Chairman - Asia at McKinsey & Company and Mr Abhishek Ranjan, Sr. Director & Global Head at Brillio were also present on this occasion.
