New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is inviting entries for Viksit Bharat 2047 essay-making, poster-making and ideas competitions 2024 from all interested students and alumni of IGNOU. Interested candidates can register online by February 11, 2024.
To register for IGNOU Competition 2024, participants have to submit their online entries through the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in. The first, second, and third place winners in each category will receive a cash reward of INR 5,000, Rs 3,000, and INR 2,000 as well as a memento and certificate of merit.
In addition to this, the top three entries from each regional centre will receive a certificate of merit and the IGNOU regional centre will issue a certificate of participation for each entry.

IGNOU Ideas Competition 2024: Ideas4Viksit Bharat@2047
The IGNOU Idea Competition 2024 will be held to recognise, share, develop, and promote ideas created by IGNOU students and alumni. The competition will encourage a culture of innovation that will lead to an innovation promotion ecosystem at IGNOU.
Participants will have an opportunity to demonstrate their vision for Viksit Bharat@2047 as well as engage with mentors, and industry leaders. Candidates will receive a certificate of participation at the Regional Centre level, and a certificate of merit, cash awards, and mementos at the national level.
IGNOU Poster Making Competition 2024
For the IGNOU Poster Making Competition 2024, the themes are “How do I visualize Viksit Bharat@2047?” and “How do I visualize IGNOU in Viksit Bharat@2047?". Candidates must note that each participant can only submit one poster per theme.
Entries must be submitted through email to your Regional Centre with a copy to ncide@ignou.ac.in in the format prescribed by IGNOU. The top three posters at the National Level will receive a cash prize of INR 5000/-, INR 3000/- and INR 2000/- and a Memento and Certificate of Merit.
IGNOU Essay Writing Competition 2024
The themes for the IGNOU Essay Writing Competition 2024 are “How do I visualize Viksit Bharat@2047?” and “How do I visualize IGNOU in Viksit Bharat@2047?". The world limit for the essay should be within 2000-2500 words in handwritten or typed in Word Format.
Informing about the event, the official website reads, "With the approval of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, the National Centre for Innovations in Distance Education (NCIDE) in collaboration with RSD IGNOU is glad to announce an essay writing competition as part of Viksit Bharat@2047 and invites students and alumni to participate in this essay writing competition on the given themes".
