Interested students and alumni of IGNOU can participate in IGNOU Business Plan Competition 2024 by submitting their ideas by April 30, 2024. The top three business plans will receive the Best Business Plan Award-2024 and cash prizes.

New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is inviting entries for IGNOU Business Plan Competition 2024 from all interested students and alumni of the institute. Students can participate by submitting their business ideas by April 30, 2024.

As per IGNOU, the IGNOU Business Plan Competition 2024 will be conducted by the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) to empower students and alumni to translate their innovative ideas. The competition will be held in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

How to Submit Entries for IGNOU Business Plan Competition 2024?

Interested students who wish to submit their entries for IGNOU Business Plan Competition 2024 have to download the template for the application form from the official website and submit the same with the required details to the official Email ID at ncide@iqnou.ac.in.

Informing about the process, the official notice reads, "If you participate in the Business Plan Competition-2024, IGNOU will provide you required support and guidance to convert your Business Idea into a Successful Startup". The idea should be focused on promoting, supporting and nurturing the startup culture in India.

Students can select any of the below-mentioned themes for the IGNOU Business Plan Competition 2024:

Food, agriculture and rural development
Clean energy and alternate fuel
Clean water and water management
Environmental issues and waste management
Swachchhata initiatives, healthcare, hygiene, lifestyle and sports
Smart transportation and traffic management
Smart city and urban development
Social issues and security system
Scientific and technological developments
Education and online teaching-learning system

What is the Cash Prize for IGNOU Business Plan Competition 2024?

The top three business plans will receive the Best Business Plan Award-2024 and the first winner will receive a cash prize of INR 7000/-. The second and third prizes will be awarded cash prizes of INR 5000/- and INR 3000/- respectively.

Additionally, all candidates who participate in the competition will be awarded a Certificate of Participation by IGNOU. The IGNOU Business Plan Competition 2024 will provide participants with a platform to engage with other innovators and entrepreneurs and show their business ideas.
