The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced CBSE Class 10th and 12th Result on May 13, 2024. You can check your results online through cbseresults.nic.in. Candidates can check CBSE Board Result 2024 on the official website cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in, and other platforms.
Over 38 lakh students are awaiting their CBSE Class 10th and 12th results 2024. According to media reports, the evaluation of CBSE Class 10 answer sheets was completed in March while CBSE Class 12 answer sheet evaluation was completed by April 18.

The applications for verification of marks can be submitted from May 17 to May 21, 2024. The application fee is Rs. 500 per subject.
Candidates can apply to obtain photocopy of their answer sheets from June 1 to June 2, 2024. The application fee is Rs. 700 per subject.

Candidates who apply for verification of marks are also eligible to apply for obtaining a photocopy of their answer books if they are not satisfied with their marks after verification. However, this facility is not open to student who do not apply for verification of their marks.
Soon after CBSE Class 10 and 12 Results, PM Narendra Modi shared a tweet congratulating students who have successfully passed CBSE board exams.

CBSE has announced that the compartment exams for class 12 students will begin on July 15, 2024, for candidates who have failed the exam.
Students who wish to improve their marks are also allowed to appear for improvement exam but only in 1 subject.
This year, a total of 1,32,337 students have been placed in the compartment exam category. This is around 5.91% of the total students who took the exam.
In CBSE Class 10 Result 2024, a total of 2,12,384 students have scored 90% and above marks, while, 47,983 candidates score above 95% marks.
The overall pass percentage in CBSE Class 10 Result 2024 has been recorded at 93.60%.

This year, CBSE will not provide overall marks or distinction on the marksheet. Your CBSE Class 10 and 12 Marksheet will contain subject-wise marks. You can calculate the overall percentage through the below steps:
- Add the marks obtained in each subject.
- Divide the sum obtained by the total marks (i.e. 500 for 5 subjects).
- You will get a decimal number.
- Multiply this number by ‘100’ to convert it into a percentage.

- Click on the link ‘Secondary School Examination Class X Results 2024’ for Class 10 and ‘Senior School Certificate Examination Class XII Results 2024’ for Class 12.

The official portal cbseresults.nic.in still says “CBSE Class X and XII Results are likely after May 20”. However, there has been speculations about CBSE results 2024 being released earlier than May 20 since CBSE issued access codes for DigiLocker account activation to schools.

Generally, CBSE Class 12 Results are released in the morning hours while CBSE Class 10 Results are declared in the afternoon by 2 PM. This year also, you can expect the same trend to be followed.
Roughly 5-7% of students get compartment in CBSE Class 10 Result every year. Last year, the total number of students placed in the compartment exam category was 1,34,774 which was 6.22% of total candidates appeared for the exam.

Students need to activate their accounts on DigiLocker using the 6-digit access code shared by CBSE with schools. The steps to activate the account are as follows:
- Go to the DigiLocker website – results.digilocker.gov.in.
- Click on ‘Activate Your DigiLocker Now’ under CBSE.
- Click ‘OK’ in the pop-up.
- Next, click ‘Get Started with Account Confirmation’ button.
- Select class, and enter your school code, roll number, and 6-digit access code provided by your schools.
- Verify the details and enter your mobile number.
- Validate your mobile number with the OTP received.
- Your DigiLocker account will be activated.
Once the results are available, you will be able to download your CBSE Class 10 and 12 marksheets from DigiLocker.

DigiLocker has asked students to activate their accounts on DigiLocker as CBSE Class 10 and 12 Results 2024 are coming soon.

CBSE does not provide name-wise CBSE Class 10 and 12 Results. Students can access results only through their roll number. Name-wise results are not accessible to schools also.

CBSE will not release toppers list for classes 10 and 12, this year. Last year also, CBSE did not release any topper list.

To pass CBSE 10th and 12th board exams, you must score at least 33% marks in each subject and in aggregate.

Only the top 2.5 Lakh JEE Main qualified candidates can appear for JEE Advanced. JEE Main results are already out on April 24. Based on your JEE Main scores, you can also take admission to top IIITs, NITs, and other engineering colleges.

With NEET exam scheduled on May 5, CBSE is unlikely to release results this week. CBSE Class 12 Results might be released after the NEET Exam most probably by May 8.
CBSE official Twitter account shared a fake notice claiming CBSE Class 10 Result date and warns students to not trust such fake notices.

Some online resources claim CBSE result date and time to be May 3 around 11 AM, however, it is highly unlikely that CBSE results will be declared TODAY. There is no confirmation on CBSE result 2024 date and time yet.

CBSE will share a 6-digit security PIN unique to each student to their respective schools. Students need to get the PIN from their schools and activate their DigiLocker accounts using it before the results.
