Mr. V. Bhanu Prasad is currently serving as the HOD of the Seicom Group of Institutions. Mr. V. Bhanu Prasad is a distinguished academician and able administrator with more than six years of experience. He has grown from the ranks right here in the institute, starting his teaching career as a lecturer in 2017. Before assuming the position of HOD, he was the Assistant Professor at Seicom Group of Institutions, Tirupathi. He obtained a Master's Degree from SV University, Tirupathi. In his impressive teaching and administrative career, he has consistently promoted innovative teaching practices and imaginative thinking. He has endeared himself to his students and colleagues alike through his affable nature and empathetic leadership style. He attended 10 Workshops and Seminars.

As the Head of the Department, I need to lead, manage, and develop the department to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities. Maintain the general discipline of the students and staff of the Department.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

How do you try to bring in practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented ?

Practical work is an important aspect. It includes a range of activities and is also used for different purposes such as :

  • Illustrating a concept or idea to help students generate arguments from evidence in the process of knowledge construction
  • Develop practical, manipulative laboratory skills and learn how to use science equipment such as a microscope.
  • Develop observation skills, such as the structure of a cell or observing changes in heating a chemical.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills? 

Regular training and placement are imparted in the areas of communication skills and aptitude to the students to make them employable.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make it befitting for the students? 

Focus on the students rather than on creating the best lesson plan. Talk to other experts, teachers, etc., from the industry and consider their inputs.

The training needs of the university faculty members are assessed to achieve the desired quality in light of technological innovations. A list of training needs for faculty members was developed in terms of technological innovations in general, developing skills for faculty members in the use of technological innovations, and promoting university faculty members' quality assurance skills.
