How did you train yourself/faculty to deliver this program to the students?

In preparation for delivering this programme, both I and my fellow faculty members embarked on an extensive and multifaceted training regimen. We began by participating in professional development workshops, which honed our teaching methodologies and introduced us to the latest pedagogical tools. Emphasising the importance of real-world relevance, many of us actively sought industry exposure by attending conferences and seminars, and some even collaborated directly with industry professionals. Within our institution, we instituted a peer review mechanism, enabling faculty members to attend each other's lectures and offer constructive feedback, ensuring consistency and excellence in our teaching approaches. Equally significant was our practice of routinely analysing student feedback, which allowed us to address specific areas of improvement and adjust our methods accordingly. Embracing the digital age, we also underwent specialised training to adeptly integrate the latest educational software into our curriculum, facilitating a seamless learning experience for our students. Our departmental meetings often transformed into collaborative brainstorming sessions, where we exchanged insights and fine-tuned our delivery strategies. We also undertook cultural and inclusivity training sessions to foster an inclusive classroom environment.

What made you decide to become a teacher?

I believe that educators have the power to shape the future. I wanted to play a role in molding young minds and making a positive impact on their lives. Secondly, teaching is a profession where I'm constantly learning, not just about the subject matter but also about life, people, and different perspectives. That is the reason I chose this profession.
