Mrs. D. Swarupa is the HOD of the EEE Department at the Welfare Institute of Science, Technology and Management. She started her teaching career in 2007 as a Professor at AL Ameer College of Engineering and Technology in 2013. After that, she has been associated with WISTM as HOD of EEE. She has 14 years of work experience and has written more than 8 research papers in the genre of Scopus, five papers on IJERT, and papers related to power systems. Mrs. Swarupa’s mission is to inculcate subject knowledge in every student. She was ratified by AU in 2017.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

My role and responsibility is to apply the knowledge of Mathematics, Science, Engineering Fundamentals, and Engineering specialisation to the solution of Complex Engineering problems. I promote the use of research-based knowledge and research methods, including the design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

At the Welfare Institute of Science, Technology and Management, our students work on numerous projects. One of our recent projects has our students working on a Solar Vehicle. The main objective of the ongoing projects is to impart knowledge of tools to devise and deliver efficient solutions to problems in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
