Ankit Panda: “General (No reservation).”

Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Ankit Panda: “The GD in my case was offline. There were about 12-15 members in every panel. Everyone got their chance to speak. There were 3 faculties as moderators. We were given 1 minute to think. It was an aggressive GD. The WAT topic was the same as the GD. We were given one sheet of paper and were asked to write on both sides of it. The main tip to ace wat and gd is to stay updated with the current affairs. Try to remember some stats for every topic as that attracts the moderators”

What was the WAT / GD Topic?

Ankit Panda: “The topic was- Should India spend more on Defence Measures or Social Security Schemes.”

What were your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Ankit Panda: “I went in favor of strong defense measures. The WAT was just set up amidst the Balakot Airstrikes. Hence I utilized those facts to prove that India still needs to further strengthen their defense system.”

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Ankit Panda: “There were 5 panels. Each panel had 2 faculty members. It was offline in nature and was conducted immediately to GD. In my case, I had a very short interview of 5 mins. It was not a stressful interview. Be confident and have a good introductory note. Rest will be fine.”
