Sanketika Vidya Parishad Engineering College

What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?

One of the top advantages of Electronics and Communication engineering is that it offers students complete freedom to switch between the software industry and the hardware industry. The job industries are varied and depending on the individual’s skills and interests, the range of options will vary. Many MNC companies prefer ECE engineers when compared to engineers from other fields.

What are the best practices in the program you are doing?

Some of our best practices are that we provide coding skills that are enhanced by CRT classes. The college also has a carrier guidance cell whose aim is to increase the confidence of students to build their careers. We also provide research activities that are encouraged by research clubs. We also focus on extracurricular activities and have collaborative activities guided by IQAC.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

Our B.Tech. and M.Tech. programs create an environment for learning. We also promote and inculcate research activities with the help of incubation cells and the IIC. Our students are also offered to visit industries like radar stations, NSTL, and BSNL. These allow them to observe what skills are required from them and what they must do to make them fit for industry needs.

What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

Being an affiliated college, we do not have the freedom to shape our curriculum according to our needs. We, however, do have the freedom to add certification courses and conduct workshops to provide additional knowledge to our students. We follow the curriculum given by the government of Andhra Pradesh.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on this program through this program?

The final-year students are working on various projects related to IoT, robotics, VLSI, embedded systems, wireless sensor networks, antennas, and signal processing. After completion of the course the students can work in government sectors like BSNL, BEL, and ISRO, and they can work as software engineers in MNCs.

What do you think are your roles and responsibilities?

As a HOD my responsibility is to look after the academic performance of the students and look over the administrative duties of my department. I need to take the necessary steps to make our students prepared to solve real-time social needs. I also focus on the students and always try to update the standards and implement new plans to get good results.
