NIT Jamshedpur released a notice on October 24, 2024, regarding the Prof. Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship. BIPF is inviting applications for the Prof. Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship 2024 to support meritorious students from Odisha. Candidates willing for the scholarship can apply for this till November 15, 2024.

This scholarship is for students belonging to financially disadvantaged families with an annual parental income of less than ₹8 lakhs. The scholarship covers up to ₹6 lakhs per recipient for academic expenses, including 90% of tuition fees and related expenses for the entire duration of the course.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must qualify for the entrance examination of JEE/NEET/CUET/Liberal Arts in 224.
- They must come from families with a total combined income of less than ₹8 lakhs per annum.
- Preference will be given to SC, ST, and Divyang applicants based on their merit.
- They must be admitted in the fields of Engineering, Medicine, STEM, or Liberal Arts at any government college in the academic year 2024.
- Students must be domiciled in Odisha.
Documents Required
Students are required to submit the self-attested copies of the following documents.
- Mark sheet of 10th and 12th (+2) examinations.
- Rank card of the qualifying entrance examination.
- NRIF (National Ranking Institute Framework) of the institution where the student has taken admission.
- Admission documents from the college.
- Income certificate of the parents, issued by the Tahsildar or a Competent Authority.
- Domicile certificate from the Tahsildar or a Competent Authority.
- Caste certificate (in case of SC/ST), issued by the Tahsildar or a Competent Authority.
- Certificate of Divyang (if applicable), issued by the District Medical Board or a Competent Authority.
- Aadhar card.
- Two recent passport-sized color photographs.
- Canceled cheque or bank passbook of the student.
Note: After completing all the processes including document verification the scholarship payment will be made directly to the bank account of the candidate through RTGS/NEFT.
