Amity University celebrated International Women’s Day from March 5 to March 12. A conference titled 'NIRANJANA- HERizons for Earth' included various workshops, art exhibitions, and interactive sessions.

New Delhi: Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Noida Campus marked International Women’s Week 2024 with various events from March 5 to 12, 2024. These events included workshops, interactive sessions, art exhibitions, panel discussions, and conferences held at the campus premises. 

Amity Law School, Noida, hosted the 'NIRANJANA—HERizons for Earth' International Conference from March 5 to 6, 2024. The primary objectives of this conference were to foster knowledge exchange and facilitate the sharing of research findings and experiences regarding women's leadership.

The conference at Amity University showcases the resilience and innovative strategies women leaders employ in navigating complex environments and highlights policies promoting gender equality, women's empowerment, and inclusivity.

In his address to the students of Amity, Chief Guest Shri Manan Kumar Mishra, Chairman of the Bar Council of India, reminisced about India's historical reverence for women and emphasized the importance of women's participation in various sectors, including legislation. He urged law students to pursue litigation, citing its challenges as opportunities for growth and strength.

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder and President of Amity Education Group, expressed his unwavering commitment to providing students with exceptional education, moral values, and career prospects. He encouraged students to absorb expert wisdom attentively, believing it is pivotal to their success in life and career endeavors.

Addressing the audience, Smt. Richa Vashisth, Chairperson of RMS Group of Companies and President of MAA Foundation reiterated the government's initiatives to empower women and girls. She highlighted women's strides in various fields and stressed the importance of educating girls about their rights to bolster their empowerment.

Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor of the Amity University Faculty addressed the conference and stated, “The theme of the Conference is very apt and in the past, India was a country where women were at the forefront. Therefore, it is in our DNA to respect women and provide them equal opportunities in all walks of life. This conference recognizes the pivotal role women play in sustainable development and aims to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and collective action, by which women can become empowered.”

During the event, the Amity Centre for Gender Justice and Child Rights released a 'Souvenir' alongside the 'NIRANJANA' publication. Dignitaries present included Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor of Amity Universities, Dr. Shefali Raizada, Additional Director of Amity Law School, Dr. Aditya Tomer, Additional Director of Amity Law School Faculty, and students from the institution.
