The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) revised the Assam Higher Secondary (HS) Syllabus of 14 subjects for class 11 & 12.

New Delhi: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) revised the Assam Higher Secondary (HS) Syllabus. The curriculum 2023–24 has been updated for the first and second-year by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC). 

Beginning with the school year 2023–2024, AHSEC HS will begin using its redesigned course curriculum. 

The board announced in a notification that a total of 14 courses have been changed in the Assam HS Exam 2023 syllabus for the class 11 and 12.

The official notice stated "All concerned Principals/Registrars of the institutions delivering H.S. have been informed that the AHSEC has modified the syllabus of the following topics (both HS. 1" and 2nd year), and the same can be adopted, beginning from the academic year 2023–24."

The Assam board has decided to revise the Assam HS syllabus of class 11 and 12 for a total of 14 subjects including Alternative English, Political Science, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Sociology, Accountancy, Psychology, Chemistry, Business Studies, Finance, Economics, Anthropology and Geography.

The notification also states that the Assam HS Exam Syllabus 2023 for the alternative English, finance, and anthropology is revised for the AHSEC 2nd year exams only. However, the remaining Assam HS courses will be offered to the students in both the first and second years of HS.

The updated AHSEC Higher Secondary syllabus will soon be made available on the board's official website. Candidates who are preparing for the exam can access the updated AHSEC syllabus 2023 for both the first and second year examinations at ahsec.assam.gov.in.
