The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Guwahati has published the vacant seats for MS and MPharm programs after the second round of NIPER JEE counselling. Students can access this information on the official NIPER Guwahati website (niperguwahati.ac.in). The vacancy details are categorized for General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories.

The NIPER JEE 2024 exam was conducted successfully on June 15, 2024. The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati, has released the NIPER JEE 2024 result on June 24, 2024. Along with the NIPER JEE 2024 results, the authorities also announced the counselling and interview schedule for various courses. MS and MPharm program counselling is being held on July 16th, 17th, and 18th. MTech program counselling will be held on July 19th. 

NIPER JEE 2024 exam was conducted in two sessions. Session 1 was for MS (Pharm), MPharm, MBA (Pharm), and PhD (excluding Medical Devices), while session 2 was for MTech programmes in biotechnology, PT BT, medicinal, process chemistry, medical devices, and PhD in medical devices.

NIPER JEE 2024 Result: Tie-breaking policy

The NIPER JEE 2024 uses a multi-step tie-breaking process to determine rank in case of a tie between applicants. Here's how it works:

1. Scores to four decimals: Scores are first compared to the fourth decimal place. The applicant with the higher score after this calculation gets the better rank.
2. Part B Score (Masters & PhD): If scores remain tied, the score in Part B of the exam (both for Masters and PhD) is compared. The applicant with the higher Part B score gets ranked higher.
3. Fewer Incorrect Answers: If scores are still tied, the number of incorrect answers in the entire exam is compared. The applicant with fewer incorrect answers gets the better rank.
4. Subject-Specific Incorrect Answers: If the tie persists, the number of incorrect answers specifically in Part B (subject domain) is compared. The applicant with fewer incorrect subject-specific answers is ranked higher.
5. Age: If scores remain tied after all the above steps, the older applicant is ranked higher.
6. Application Number: As a last resort, application numbers are used in ascending order to break the tie. The applicant with the lower application number receives the better rank.

NIPER JEE 2024 Eligibility

Here, we are providing the NIPER JEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Masters and Ph.D. courses:

For Master’s Courses

• Qualifying Exam: For M.S. (Pharm.)/M.Pharm./M.Tech. (Pharm.), the qualifying degree should be B.Pharm. or M.Sc. (Biological Sciences) or M.Sc (Organic/Analytical Chemistry/Life Sciences/Botany) or B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) or equivalent or B.V.Sc. or M.B.B.S. or BAMS.
• Minimum Marks: The candidates have to score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam.
• Relaxation: For SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks required in the qualifying exam should be 55%. For Physically Handicapped candidates, the minimum marks are 50%.
• Appearing Candidates: Final-year candidates can also apply.
• Other Entrance Exam: Candidates should also appear in either GATE, or GPAT, or NET.

For Ph.D. Pharmacy Courses

• Qualifying Exam: The prerequisite qualification is M.S.(Pharm.)/M.Pharm/M.Tech.(Pharm.) in relevant discipline.
• Minimum Marks: Candidates are required to pass the qualifying exam with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST and 50% marks for PH candidates).
