MP Board Class 10 Question Typologies

MP board has revised the exam pattern for MP Board class 10 as per the New Education Policy. The revised exam pattern is available on its official website - mpbse.nic.in. Earlier, the MP Board had released the Exam pattern of MPBSE 10th exam with 30% reduction in syllabus. As a part of the question paper, subjective, objective, and analytical types of questions had been introduced in the MP Board Class 10 exam pattern.

According to MP Board 10th exam pattern 2023, 40% of questions will be objective type, 40% of questions will be subjective type and the remaining 20% will be analytical in nature. For theoretical subjects, 80 marks will be allotted to theory paper and the remaining 20 marks will be allotted to practical/ internal assessment.

MP Board Class 10 Question Typologies

The time duration for the MPBSE 10th theoretical exams will be 3 hours, whereas, it will be 2 hours for the practical exams. Moreover, the students have to score a minimum of 33 marks in the subjects without practicals, while for the subjects with practicals, the minimum marks will differ with each subject.

MP Board Class 10 Assessment criteria

Marking will be done on the basis of the subjects offered in the MP board 10th exam.

Weightage of 30% in the unit tests and 20% in the internal assessment makes a total of 50% in the pre boards. The MPBSE 10th exam will consider the overall academic performance of the past three years. 

No student will be detained under the latest schemes of board exam class 10. If a student fails in any subject, he/she will be promoted to the next class based on the grace marks. Candidates have to repeat a year in the same standard if he/she does not appear for any examination paper in the unit tests or pre boards.

Candidates appearing for boards privately have no internal assessment. The candidate will be marked on the academic performance of last year, on the average of the best of five marks. A grace mark of 33% will be given to the students who fail to bring the minimum passing marks. If the student is not happy with the marks, they can sit for a written examination later.

Ans. The students will receive the admit card from the school administration. In case of any personal error on the admit card, students are requested to correct it through the MPONLINE portal.

Ans. The medium of English and Hindi is followed by the MP Board. Candidates can choose the language in which they want to write the examination.
