The JKBOSE, class 10th syllabus is released on the official website of JKBOSE Board. Students, who will be appearing for the JKBOSE Class 10th Exam 2023, can download the detailed syllabus in the PDF form from the board’s website.
- Earlier, the JKBOSE has reduced the syllabus for 10th Board exams 2023 from 30% to 40% to ensure a stress-free exam for the students in the midst of the pandemic.
- Students have to attempt only 60% of the total marks and that will be treated as equivalent to 100%.
- Major reductions have been introduced in Mathematics and Social Science.
- This will be the third academic year in which students will be assessed on the basis of the revised syllabus.

JKBOSE 10th Syllabus: Scheme of Subjects
For the JKBOSE Class 10 exam 2023, students will have to take up five compulsory subjects and one subject can be chosen as optional. The main subjects and list of optional subjects have been given below.

The total marks in the JKBOSE 10th exam for every subject will be 100. Some subjects will have theory papers and practical papers and the 100 marks will be divided as per JKBOSE discretion.

Computer Science
Computer Science syllabus for Internal Assessment are as follows:
- For Computer Science, students will have to present themselves for two practicals.
- Each practical session will be for 2 hours.
- A total of 60 marks have been allotted for these practicals with 1:1 marks weightage in each of them.

- 10 marks will be evaluated on the basis of performance in project work and internal assessment.
- Project work will have to be submitted by every student mandatorily on the topic - Road Safety Education for 5 marks.
- An internal assessment on Disaster Management will be evaluated as well for 5 marks.
- These assessments will be done by the schools themselves and results are to be submitted to the JKBOSE.
