Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I come from an Electronics background specializing in computer science having completed by Bachelor of Science Honours in Electronics, I always had the interest to be a scientist specializing in the field of Theoretical Electronics. M.Sc in Electronics from Jamia Millia Islamia is an application-oriented course that requires heavy mathematical, experimental, and logical skills. Therefore in order to move up the industry ladder, I decided to pursue my post-graduation from Jamia Millia Islamia. It also provides the best faculty to guide you throughout the course of your study. Faculty is all well qualified, with all having Ph.D. degrees, some have post-doctoral degrees and almost everyone has published a research paper abroad in universities and in other international conferences. The teaching method involves giving online resources materials, using the latest technologies to help students understand various subjects with ease. Exams are fairly easy to pass and get good marks in.

Campus Life:

The campus is very big and has a lot of greenery. The library in the campus is spacious and provides access to various genres of books, journals, newspapers and magazines. It contains repository of hundreds of academic related subjects books. There is also an option for getting issued online books. Classrooms are very big and modern. Some classrooms do have the traditional black board style however most know have smart boards connected to the internet and are interactive. There is a big sports stadium that is the "Patudi Stadium" where also big college tournaments held. There are also sports courts for each specific sport where during leisure time one can use them. There are also various sports teams that represent Jamia in national tournaments such as the basketball team, lawn tennis team, football team and the cricket team. There is also a gymnasium inside the stadium for healthy workouts and warmups. Some of the clubs that exist are the Entrepreneurship Cell and Architecture club.

Admission:

Pandit S. N. Shukla University is an institution providing higher education to the students an doffers several courses in different streams. In order to get admission in MSc electronics, the student should have completed class 12 and graduation in BSc from a recognized university. Then they will have to apply and on merit basis, they will be selected.

Fee Structure And Facilities:

The fee structure of the MSc electronics is around less than 20 thousand which is quiet feasible as per the demands and popularity of the course among the students. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that the fees is affordable as per the education and facilities provided by the institution.

Admission:

At first we have to pass polycet entrance test. After gaining a good rank in that entrance test. We have to go for polycet counseling for allotting order. The process counseling consists of providing original information of student and then selecting various colleges for getting seat. Then after some days, the college will select the student and then seat will be allotted. Thus, I got admission in my college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

M.Sc Electronics, is a technical course. Course has many software simulation software like MATLAB, PSpice, HDL, for circuit designing, computation, automation control systems. Here, the foremost focus is on the students to develop new interests in their interested fields.

Campus Life:

Sports facilities available in my college always they are supported to students. with that WiFi network is also available in campus with good speed i used that many times. minimum 150 students can read at a time in library. it is a good silent place in college. all equipment are also upgraded with industry work.

Campus Life:

Campus life was very vibrant. Students of various departments used to greet each other with smiles. The campus canteen was a familiar spot for stress busting and celebrations. We never had things like gender ratios in our minds. To us, male as well female classmates were one and the same. So was the case with our faculty and HODs as well. The girls of Biotechnology, Zoology, Pharmacy, Botany and Chemistry were pretty outgoing.

Faculty:

Our HOD then used by Prof (Dr.) GN Navaneeth. His kind words always inspired students like us to dedicate 100% efforts to our studies - theory as well as practicals. We also used to have guest lectures in the Department of Electronics. In 1995, the Department of Physics used to be a full-fledged one, whereas the Dept of Electroncis was just in nascent stages. Now it is evolving into a big player.

Extracurricular activities are only held during events such as reunion or picnic. Labs are featured with up to date and excellent equipments. Sports are also held along with extracurriculars (before or after) Projects are held wherein we need to collaborate with other departments of our choice.

Faculty:

The college is the best place for learning. It will make you a master of your subject whatsoever. Calcutta University is renowned for in-depth learning and it's honesty. The placement cell however is really poor and hardly few companies visit the college for hiring.

College Events:

The 12 months are not just for the library and classrooms, at first when I entered in the college there is a foundation day in which you used to introduced with the faculty and within a same week there is a fresher's party in which whole faculty takes part in it. After this on each national holiday there are functions and street drama's performed by humanity faculty students which is just hard to describe in my words it is as just awesome. As the time goes there is whole week celebration on Foundation day of Jamia in which VIP's and celebrities are invited. Also, as the spring season approaches flower day fest as held. A small fest is also held in University ground following a farewell parties to sports day.

Placement Experience:

There is a central placement cell of University which is common for all students belonging to different courses and majors but for Engineering, Law, Management, Dental Faculty. A dedicated placement cell with placement officer is situated in respective faculties. Engineering faculty has a very nice structured placement process, according to the majors like Civil, Electronics, Computer Science etc during placement season (Jan - Sept) companies visits and offer a handsome package. At my time the highest package in Comp Sc in 42 lacs offered by Microsoft Singapore.
