Diploma in Electrical & Communication Engineering: FAQs

Ques. What is the better option for further studies after a Diploma in Electrical & Communication Engineering?

Ans. The best option for further studies after doing a Diploma in Electrical & Communication Engineering is to go for an undergraduate course in communication engineering such as a B.Tech or BE in Electronics and Telecommunication. If you have little work experience or go for an industrial-related course of five or six months, you will have an added advantage when joining the undergraduate course. Programming languages and mathematics are the weak aspects of a diploma student so work to improve them, especially C language.

Ques. What competitive exams can a graduate of Diploma in Electrical & Communication Engineering give?

Ans. Most of the competitive exams tend to require a graduation degree. But there are exams like the entrance exam conducted by the Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) for jobs in the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), ISRO exam for technical assistant, Railway exam For Group B and C, etc. At the end of the day having a graduation degree is better and will increase your pay scale significantly.

Ques. What is the best career option to choose after completing a diploma in ECE?

Ans. The best opportunities for Diploma in Electrical & Communication Engineering graduates are undoubtedly in the IT Sector. Most of the people go for either software Industry, Electronic Hardware Industry (Analog or Digital design) or Communication jobs in companies like Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance Jio etc.

Ques. Is Diploma in Electrical & Communication Engineering alone to get good jobs?

Ans. Yes, Diploma in Electrical & Communication Engineering alone can get you a job. But the pay scale of a Diploma in Electrical & Communication Engineering graduates or any diploma graduates, in general, are very less compared to other graduate and postgraduate degree holders. In addition, if you are a diploma holder, it might be hard for you to get promotions. So overall it is advised to go for further studies like B.Tech or BA if you want higher-paying jobs.

I think the tution fee is consideredably high as the college providesv with so many ammenties and beautiful campus , placement etc, the fees structure send to be valid to me. During my academic years the tution fee was around 86k but now increased to 1Lakh i think. There are various scholarships available upto 80k ruppess.College also provides with internship of your course respectively but the only problem is that the internship is not paid that is you dont get any stipend.

Campus Life:

Life at the campus is quite tough because we live in the hostel so the food was not so good and the college building was very small. But the library was very good and there are many good books in that. For every 6 days, there will be sprods day and we play cricket, kabaddi, chess, etc. As I was in electrical and electronics engineering there were no websites.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Basically fee structure depended upon the caste system. If you are sc/st you have lower fees and high scholarships. if you are bc u can have high fees and low scholarships. After completing the course there will be six months of training and if you are good at it you get a job according to the skills u gained in the six months.

There will be a fest every year which has happened in the middle of the academic year. Not only fest there will be a tech fest where students present their projects to the college. There is a library where students can find any kind of book for study. They provide journals to think of new ideas. College management encourages us in sports and extracurricular activities like cricket, and boxing they send us to other places to show our talent.

The campus life has different types of persons with different ideologies, there we can learn end number of things. A tech fest is conducted every year where every college in state participate in it and host by our college. The freshers party, farewell and annual fests are conducted in the college to motivate the students in another way. To maintain fitness and to play any kind of games there is a large play ground inside the college where it is very popular at the college surroundings. A good and habituated library is available for everyone and can get any of the academic books in it.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

According to my knowledge, the candidates who are eligible for fee reimbursement need not to pay any fees for the admission. The cost of study is also very less and a middle class guy can easily complete the course with some financial assistance. The candidates who are eligible for scholarships gets theirs at the end of the year. Many of my friends got campus placements before the competition of course with a good stipend and package.

Internships Opportunities:

In third year second semester, students has to do industrial training which is mandatory in the course plan. And after the training there is chance to get place in that company. Stipend will be nearly 3k per month. And six months training has to be done. And this depends upon the company we choose for training. It varies from company to company. Companies like uppal industries limited offers industrial training for most of the students.

Placement Experience:

From third year students are eligible for campus placement. Placements here are less compared to engineering colleges. As it is diploma, so the average package is 3lpa. And every year 40% of students gets placed and most of the students prefer to do engineering later. Most of the students will do btech by writing ECET exam. But campus placements are very less. As no one show's interest to do nob after polytechnic.

Placement Experience:

According to me, Aditya is the best among the local engineering colleges in terms of placements. They train you from the first year itself. Most of the companies are software companies. Recently four to five students got placed in AWS with the package of 19 lakhs per annum. Capgemini takes many students and offers 4 lakh per annum. You should not expect core companies in Aditya. Final year students are eligible for placements. Aditya group gets campus placements for its degree colleges also. So if you want to study only for placements Aditya should not be your priority for doing core courses like electrical, mechanical etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am choosing computer science and engineering because I am interested in that course my goal is to become a computer science and Engineer its little bit difficult in 1st year after 1st year it's a very easy subject I am satisfied with the course. there are a total of 10 faculty allotted to my class the ratio of student and faculty is 1:4 and the staff is very well educated and knowledgeable persons Exams are not difficult and not easy it's moderate.

The placement of this institute is good. If you are going in the 5th semester then be ready for placement. always be updated for placement details and notice etc. which is given by the placement cell in charge and HODs too. You should clear all your backlogs for the last 4 semester for increasing chances of placement and maintain a 60% score in all subjects for good placement.

Campus Life:

University campus revolves around going to classes, studying in the library or in their own room, getting involved in co-curricular activities made compulsory by the university and sometimes hanging out with their friends to have fun after an exam. For many I live in students accommodation being away from their family will require them to be independent and I need quite some time to get adjusted to their new environment or I will be homesick or stressed. I need to practice housekeeping, to manage a budget, and to find their way around new place. Stress is also a part of every student’s daily life. It can be very damaging for students when stress becomes excessive. It can harm student 's health, happiness, work performance, relationships and personal development. There are many causes of stress among university students. Among the causes are a lot of assignments, exams, homesickness, financial problem and future career planning. The first cause of stress among university students is a lot of assignments. Sometimes a student need to take six to seven classes per semester and the professors can assign new assignments for each classes. The students need to submit all the assignments before the deadline and as the deadline closes in pressure keeps building up. It can monumental task to complete two to three assignments a day or sometimes up to seven per week. Thus, the students will not have enough time to concentrate on the assignments as they also need to do other things such as attending classes, getting involved in co-curricular activities and part time job. Thus, the students will be stressed because of lack of time to finish the assignments. Some assignments are group assignments.
