The fees structure for 3 years is 600000 and if someone want to do honors and research in the 4th year then the fees will become 800000. There is also scholarship opportunity as well. For scholarship there is a criteria that students need to get a minimum percentage in academics.

Faculty:

There are 2 mid semester in a year and 2 end semester in a year. End semester are of 100 marks and mid semester exams are of 50 marks. They also conduct CIA i.e continuous internal assessment. The faculty members are also good.

The faculty to student ratio is okay. The faculties are pretty approachable, from my personal experience. I really like Dr. Shilpa Shrivastava and her ways of teaching. She takes her subject very seriously, and is very determined to get her points across. So far, I have given one exam, and the level of difficulty was easy to moderate.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The total fees for a year for my course is 196000. I did not apply for any scholarships, but they have some scholarships for economically weaker students. I dont know for sure, but I am pretty positive that the fees is same for all the category students, except for international students, but that's not a category.

The quality of education is really nice. With studies, you can also enjoy the Social which helds once in a year that too very safely and respectfully. The campus is absolutely safe and the credit goes to the faculty members, union members as well as the students. If you wish to join NCC, you can! The campus has this facility as well which definitely helps one to make their future good! You will also get alot of books related to the subject in the library which enables students to clear their doubt by their own.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which I opted for was B.Sc in Economics with an honors. Economics is a subject which will directly connect with the real world. It's really important to know the growth and development of your country and how can you contribute to make your country better. You'll get to learn alot of things but it will be better with some more practical knowledge. Practical and field work will definitely make this course better.

There are lots of programs which will held in campus like cultural festivals, spirit week, food exhibition, business exhibition and many more The library is very vast as it's one of the oldest library. You can all books related to economics, management, finance and many more. You can also find books and journals of my independence. Also journals from world banks and more.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The total tution fees range from to 3,00,000 to 4,00,000. It's bit expensive but it's worth to get a degree from the finest university like gipe. One of the main draw back is that the Institute hostel accommodation is very less and student's needs to find accommodation outside for bachelor mainly. Regarding scholarship I think it's not there .

Placement Experience:

The college has a specific placement cell where job opening are frequently posted. Third year students can recieve pre-placement training from them As far as I'm aware, in business sector research, policy, and data analysis are potential career paths for graduates in economics. One can select careers in IT-related industries. However, there are fewer postions that are solely economics, so up until now, the institution has not offered internship or placement related to soley economics, there are internship opportunities available in other fields. Alternatively, you have to look for them on your own.

Campus Life:

Numerous events take place in college. Alegria is one of the primary events. As an extra curricular activities, you can join a variety of groups, students who engage in cultural events recieve recognition for their attendance. The college has a fair collection of competitive books in addistion to a strong selection of reference books, but you have to search for them. Every year, they do hold annual sports meet. Every department in college has a sepcific association. Additionally, our department has an economic association that plans seminars and activities for students in relevant fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to study economics so I got into this college, the faculty to student ratio was 1:12. Our department was small when we had started in 2021.Now it has been renovated completely since our 2nd year. HOD had done his PhD in Environmental Economics, his teaching skills were quite good and handled the administrative workload concerning him,we also had to help him from time to time. Rest of the faculty kept of changing, except a few notable ones, most of the other teachers were good as well. Teaching was mostly done using boardwork and during covid times online classes used to happen long after they were properly regularised everywhere else. Term exams before the semesters were a breeze , if you had studied well , you would pass it flying colours.

Campus Life:

There is a library with computers and internet access, the campus inside the college embraces the greenery of the nature around us, the environment inside the college can be compared with a park, it is maintained in such a way so that the students can relax and enjoy their leisure hours in between their classes. There are sports events arranged by the union members of the college, there are specific rooms for carrom and other board games, all under the union ofcourse. Amenities inside the classroom could be improved, although they are spacious, they require a lot of maintaining to be done as long as they are being used. The departments are of varying sizes and faculty members are friendly and helpful.

Fests- it's hard to tell you how many fests happen in college because every week some kind of activities are going on, But there is one cultural fest where all the students from each state come and perform dance and other stuff Library - you can easily find your course books in the library, it's huge sports - it will disappoint you classroom - For the Main block it is okay, feels like a government college, but the projector is in every class

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

College fee- so basically it depends on your course, for my course BSC Statistics and Economics the fee is 60k but for BBA it goes up to 2lacs/year. I don't have much idea about scholarships, but if you want to earn money while working you can work here in college shops like stationery and cafeterias. In college, there are many events where you can sell goods

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I had an interest in economics back in my days in school. According to my knowledge the student: faculty ratio is quite good recently they've added new professors to our department. The faculty is highly knowledgeable and qualified most of them are researchers and PhD holders. Terms exams were always on time although they shift sometimes due to some management changes The date sheet for the exam is given 8-10 days prior Though the tentative dates are given well before the start date

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Student study loans are accepted for fees I didn't opt for any so I don't have much knowledge about that. The fees structure is very simple 2 instalments are taken from the students One at the beginning of the semester and one after 90 days from the date of the first payment And the fees are around 90000 per instalment That totals out to 180000 inr This includes tuition fees as well as exam fees for the semester

Internships Opportunities:

Mostly people intern at foundations for charitable work such as the Each One Teach one program and other voluntary places. People have also been placed in banks like HDFC and JP Morgan and Wells Fargo. However, there are a few students who choose not to intern at corporate offices or volunteer but take time off to work on research projects and learn new skills from different online ed-tech platforms so that when they enter the workforce market they're at a better edge than others since a daily life at NMIMS doesn't really give us the opportunity to pursue another task hand in hand.

Placement Experience:

There are a few of the finest corporates that you'll see visiting the campus. Since this is a management college you'll see mostly banks like JP Morgan Chase & Goldman Sachs but lately, there has been an attempt to call more and more companies to the campus including the big4 to offer far more placements than before. The placement drive here used to be decent before the pandemic hit and companies backed off from the offers they had made to students however there's been an increase in the same from the past 2 years.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fees for each semester kept varying but it was between the range of 2000-4000. They had very low fees because it is a government-run college. The infrastructure may not be great in comparison to private colleges but it is very decent. At my time, many students got scholarships and financial assistance from the college.

Campus Life:

There is no club/committee as such. Most of the focus is put on academics. However, we have a sports day. We also tried to organize a fest for our college at our time. There are proper amenities in the classroom as to what a student/teacher may need.

Campus Life:

The infrastructure of the college is good. There aren't many fests in College, but there are two fests which are Aarambh which happens after a new batch of students come, and Vishaan this the main College fest of 5 days. The library is small compared to other college libraries. The classroom consists of a board and projectors and a CCTV camera.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose economics because I love the subject of economics. The faculty are less compare to the subjects but there are some faculties who are highly experienced and have great teaching skills. Many of the professors are now opting for their Ph.D., The term exams were done after the completion of certain units and they weren't difficult to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Economics is one of the premier courses of SNU, having a lot of people go to QS's top universities and business schools after graduating in econ from SNU. The faculty is extremely competent, most of them have taught at top universities around the world before coming to SNU. There is a lot of corporate exposure too as a lot of professors have worked in organizations like the world bank and IMF before joining SNU. However, there are very frequent examinations and assignments that kind of get overwhelming. All year-round studying is required to graduate with a good GPA

Campus Life:

The annual cultural fest is called breeze which is the biggest event of SNU spread across 3 whole days. Also, there are about 70 clubs that also keep conducting events and fests depending upon their budgets and sponsorships. But all in all the campus is very happening. The sports here are amazing. There is a state-of-the-art indoor sports complex. There is also a horse race track where one can learn equestrianism.

School of Economics has 3 fests in a year, namely Shastrath, Kaching x Ejcon and Fury. There are also monthly events organised by clubs. The library is great, has all the course books and a lot of other books for reference. Classrooms are like hotel rooms. They have ACs, Smart Boards and Wifi Facilities. There are no sports at NMIMS because of the small campus. However, the sports club organises sports on rented grounds and courts once in a while. There are many clubs run by students. Finance club, literary club, e-cell, corporate integration club, photography club, sports club, social club etc. are great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

NMIMS is the best college in India for B.Sc. economics. The course is very inclusive. Teacher: Student ratio is around 1:30. The faculty is well-qualified and teaches everything practically. Exams happen once every semester. But other exams like Mid-semester exams, ICAs, assignments and projects happen every week.

Ques. Are there any placements at DU for B.Sc students?

● Top Answer By Aruna Kakkar on 10 Oct 22

Ans. When a 12th-grade student enrols in a prestigious Delhi university, he or she has many hopes for placement and compensation. However, only 1% of students are placed in the top colleges. B.Sc. is solely academic in nature. You should never have unrealistic expectations of receiving gleaming packages after completing your B.Sc. To get a job in this field, you will need to further your education. The main advantage of studying at DU is the exposure you will receive. It will aid in your personal development.Read more

Ques. How is B.Sc Economics at NMIMS Mumbai?

● Top Answer By Pooja Johar on 29 Jun 21

Ans. The B.Sc Economics course offered by the Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics of the NMIMS Mumbai is great and will be a wonderful experience if you factor out the cost of the course. Academics: The course is well balanced and the pedagogy not only includes core subjects but also from fields such as psychology, sociology, political science, IT, etc. The institute also hosts many guest lectures and seminars which offer a better understanding of the real world. The demerit of the course is that it is too focused and requires a lot of attention. Attendance is taken seriously. Fees: The yearly fee for the batch of 2017-20 was INR 2.5 lakhs. The university provides very limited accommodation options, so you need to live for yourself in Mumbai. Depending on your lifestyle and accommodation you will need another INR 3.5 lakhs to INR 7 lakhs per annum towards living expenses. So even if you take the lower amount, you will need close to INR 18 lakhs to INR 20 lakhs for the whole 3 years of the undergraduate program. Placements: Here are the placement stats released by the department for the batch of 2016-19. Total number of students – 87 Number of students opting for placements – 18 Percentage of students placed who opted for placements – 77% Highest salary – INR 11.60 lakhs per annum Average salary – INR 4.60 lakhs per annum Some recruiters – PwC, KPMG, Nomura, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mu Sigma, JP Morgan India Services, IDBI Federal Life, etc. The experience is really good, but choose the institute only if you are willing to pay the huge fees for your undergraduate.Read more

Ques. I'm doing PCME in 11-12th grade with no economics background. Can I pursue economics honours from symbiosis or any other college for undergrad?

● Top Answer By Shweta Vashisht on 27 Jun 21

Ans. Yes, you can undeniably pursue economics honors from any college, even if you didn’t have Economics in your 12th. The first semester in economics ug degree is dedicated to the basic and fundamental understanding of the subject, which is also taught in school. Thus, even if you have not studied the aspects of it in school, the college you are part of will certainly cover the topics you still have to know about. But if you are planning to do a course in Economics, it will be better to make yourself familiar with the basic concept of the course. Pick up some books on Economics after you are done with your entrance examinations if you are planning on giving any. My friends with Economics degrees suggested the following books that you can begin with. Introductory Microeconomics by Deepashree (taught in the 12th standard) Introductory Macroeconomics by Deepashree (for the 12th standard again) Principles of economics by Mankiw (this is taught in the college for the first semester or anytime during the first year) These are to name a few. You can likewise add on more.Read more

Ans. NMIMS Bangalore BSc Economics program has unique course content and innovative pedagogy. It helps in developing an individual to seamlessly integrate into an organization or to be an entrepreneur. The linkages of different quantitative methods have led NMIMS to set up a School of Economics. Mumbai is the financial capital of India and taking a shot at the admission waitlist will be worth waiting because if you get into the Mumbai campus, the level of exposure you will get will not be at par with any other city in India. Ques. Where should I pursue Economics Honours, Jadavpur University in Kolkata or Symbiosis School of Economics?

● Top Answer By Niraj Shah on 01 Apr 23

Ans. If you are unsure about which college to choose for your higher education, it is important to consider what you want to achieve in the future. If you are looking to secure a job soon after graduation, then Symbiosis School of Economics may be the better option for you. The college has a strong reputation for its placement opportunities, with a dedicated placement cell that works towards providing job opportunities to its students. Symbiosis School of Economics grooms its students to make them the perfect hire for big-shot companies, ensuring that they are well-prepared for the job market. On the other hand, if your goal is to pursue a career in academia, then Jadavpur University (JU) may be the better choice for you. While JU does offer some placement opportunities to its students, the focus is more on academic studies. Jadavpur University students tend to go on to pursue master's and even doctorates and are less inclined to just graduate and get a job. While Symbiosis School of Economics and Jadavpur University have their respective strengths, the choice ultimately depends on your personal goals and preferences. If you are looking for a college that can provide you with strong placement opportunities, then Symbiosis School of Economics may be the better option for you. However, if you are looking to pursue a career in academia and value academic excellence, then JU may be the better choice.Read more
