Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was really good, it covered all the aspects of the optometry refraction course also they have included some course scope sessions which helped in know more about this course. The only problem I have noticed is, that they are mainly reliable on PPT and not books, they can push the use of books more for betterment. Exams are done on a semester basis. 2 midterms and 1 end-term every semester, also some practicals are included in all terms.

Campus Life:

ITM university is full of annual functions, celebrity nights, bone fire nights, and so much fun, even in the new year there is a huge celebration. In it there is one big library named Akshardham in the Sitholi campus, and also one small library in our branch. well-furnished classes along with projector classes. cricket, basketball, and other games are common playing games on the campus. Nss and Ncc are available at this university.

Chandigarh University (CU) provides scholarship to the students but the main thing is it is decided on 2 things - 1. CUCET Exam 2. Percentile They provide scholarship upto 70 percent but the main thing it depend upon your hand in future if you got any supply or your attendance is not maintained then scholarship will not be continue . This is the main disadvantage of their scholarship . I done B optom and it's total cost for me is 360000 ( 45k per semester) One more disadvantage is there any how they take advantage of attendace and after shortage of it they cost thousands of rupees from students . They know very well how to earn more and more from students . They always take advantage of us in case of fees and expenditure.

Placement Experience:

Placement is a big scam in medical field . After 7th sem you are eligible for placement. They only provide 1 or 2 placement opportunity till now and the placement package is 2,40,000 per year not more than that . If we spend 3,60,000 for full course are we fool . Any one choose these such universities for more package not for their fame and name . But at last very few courses are there where students get good packages. There are 2 companies came for placement 1. Clear dekho 2. Lenskart Only 3 students are interested for the job and others are still struggling out of 40 students . After getting degree i will do masters so that i can come in teaching line and earn more and more .

I didn't face any difficulties about the frequency and timings of exam as they gave enough time for preparation. The curriculum they are following is that compulsory 75 percent attendance and the 50 percent for academic marks should not be followed for bsc courses because of this rule our friends are getting detained.

Campus Life:

The campus expirience is quite good. different kinds of students some are NRIs are there studing for different courses and fields. the cultural fest organised by the university seems to be one of the most published and attended fest in india. different social and cultural groups are organised for the extra curicullums for the students by the students and selected faculties in charge. The digital class rooms with a neat and tidy area for students making the environment more interesting to study. all the required instruments and equipments are available in the for learing.

Placement Experience:

students can capply on their final years for the placements. The campus placement is itself too good. Different big medical comapnies and hospitals such as apollo, and other use to select numerous students for placement. the highest package ever made is 1700000( seventeen lakhs rupess). almost 90% students get placement from our department. my plan is to get a good placement in a highly ranked hospital.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main reason to choose this course is that eye is a god gifted thing and the person who are not able to see it makes me emotional that this world is so beautiful and everybody has the right to see the same . When i was small , i was suffer from hypermyopia so all thr local doctors refused to treat my eyes and my family came to pgi for my treatment and hence i feel that this course should be opted and i opted thus course for which i came for my treatment. I feel so happy that i am studying here . Thus course is so beneficial for the upcoming generation as we all have certain types of problem regarding eyes and it us almost common in this era that everyone is myopic or hypermyopic so i feel that through this course i should know about what us happening in this modern era. This is total 4 year course that is three years for study and 1 year for internship. It provides ys how to deal with patients and it includes 6 semestersun total for 3 years .

Campus Life:

The campus is so large of pgimer, Chandigarh. I feel so proud that i am studying in such an honourable place. There is air conditioned all over the buildings in all the departments and there id library too to read books and to study . There is also sports complex to refresh mind by playing games and to sit in winter in warm sunlight. There is NIPS auditorium in which many co curricular activities are done so that we can not feel that we are in hospital because it seems that pgi life is so hectic but its not actually that because of these activities. Many festivals are celebrated here with so much enjoyment. It feels so good to study here and all types of hostel facilities are available here .

Internships Opportunities:

Internship here is only for the students pg pgi not any other student if other institutes is allowed here to do internship. Internship is really bad here and not at all productive. It is just waste of time plus they don't pay you in internship its all about work of unnecessary. internship should be productive but here we don't learn anything because we are placed in areas where we learn nothing we are not places for management purpose and i would not recommend anybody to go for internship here as it's really bad and unproductive.if i ajd option i would have left this internship and joined somewhere else

Campus Life:

The campus life here is good . It includes all the basic necessities but only for girls there are no such facilities for boys which makes it more worse. Also the condition of the hostels is pretty bad and food is also unhygienic

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because this course practicality of this course in field work is very excellent. This course is very practical in eye health care examination in both corporate and private sector. Although course curriculum is good but classes are very less in this course and theory level is lower.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities in my college is very good, various companies like boaush and laumb, alcon and ziess hire the students after internship Projects in internship are very specific and good for hard skill development in this eye care field
