  • I don't like the constant race and competition among du colleges. The hype of North campus or the negative comments on any other off campus college. But it is totally true and few colleges have better facilities and curriculum comparing to other col.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course offers relevant topics for my career goals and prepare me for my future. I'm doing my major in political and and minor degree in economics. The exams are spaced out well and fair but the result always comes a bit late. But I guess that's not a big issue. Overall the course curriculum is well designed with room for enhancements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

In 2023 I submitted 24k as my course fee for the annum as being a student of general category. Every course has this same fee structure for the general candidates but DU has a very low fee for other categories such as SC, ST and OBC comparing to general category. DU has several other quotas as well such as orpan quota etc. As far as I know for the sc aspirants the fee for any course was 13-14k in 2023. But the fee structure of du fluctuates too. In 2022 the fee for general category students were only 13k, I have no idea why they increased the fee for 2023 with a big margin. If I talk about the scholarship yes DU does provide scholarship to their students. And I guess that depends on the academic performance and few other things.

Campus Life :

Du is known for its fest season. I guess the biggest pro of being a du students is the FEST SEASON. Doesn't matter whether you are a student of North or south campus, you can attend any colleges fest. But yes small conflicts happens. The fest season starts from January and typically lasts till April. Du has great library facilities. Every college have their own library. And the Arts faculty of du has a very good library. Du also offers extra curricular activities for the development of students. I don't have much idea about that. But the campus life depends on the college that you're studying. If you're a student of North campus no doubt you will have a good college life. But that doesn't mean other college's student don't have a good campus life. It's all matter of being extrovert, your behaviour and financial condition.

Admission :

I got admission in du through the CUET exam. Du has very different eligibility criteria comparing to other University. DU releases it's own PDF of eligibility criteria. After giving the CUET students are required to fill CSAS form. CSAS is an admission form and every student who wants to get into du is required to fill this form. In the form the student is required to fill few mandatory details and the preference list of their course and college. Then du release cut off and you can see on your portal if you get any college or not. You can apply for upgradation as well but it's the matter of luck I guess. To be honest I personally don't like the reservation thing. Students with low marks gets good colleges just because they belong to SC or ST. And general candidates are unable to get colleges even if they scored 600+ in their desired course. For example my friend got English Hons (highest demanded course) with only 440 marks but her genaral batchmates got the course and they scored720+

Faculty :

My college has great faculty. They are helpful. Always ready to help. We could interact with them whenever we wanted. The teaching methods are good. The facilities are top-notch. I've heard from my other Friends who study in different colleges of du and they've aslo said the same thing. In the matters of faculty Delhi University is always ahead.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course shapes your mind such that you get to see everyday things in an artistic manner. Even though I feel that the syllabus is now outdated, it provides an idea of how the real world functions. If professors can stay upto date to the content I think they can provide with more up to date assignments for the children. If the Student is attentive and is regularly studying everything , there shouldn't be any problem in attempting the exams.

Placement Experience:

Bachelor's in fine arts (Applied arts) is a technical course, which allows you to work in fields like graphic designing, art direction, software work, advertiser, etc, hence the scope of your career is very wide in this, and the students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester when huge multimedia companies like fortheye solution, park secure, Honda and even Netflix India come to give offers. The highest package entailed till now is 2.5 lakh per month. After completing my bachelor's I'll be applying for a master's in VFX and animation from Jamia itself along with securing a job beside it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course in applied art because I'm interested in digital art and this is a very good course nd for good jobs in a company I choose this course. There are I think 1500 above students in the college I guess not sure. The faculty is very good nd well qualified and experienced teachers, nd the teaching method is very great for the teachers. There are 2 term exams like 1st sem exam and then 2nd sem exam which is the final exam for the 1st year then the next new year starts after this like 2nd year. Nd they are easy to pass the exam there is no any difficulty for the exam. it is quite easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Usually, it's a practical field so basically, the ratio of practical to theory is 80:20 which means 20% is the theoretical part which has to be passed individually. Although most common subject with art history doesn't take time to understand its nearly easy if you allow yourself to be passionate as an artist
