Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 3 year Full-time BCA Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

10+2 examination in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
Having passed Matriculation examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Any other examination recognised by the Syndicate as equivalent to (1) above.

Reservation:

5% Weightage will be given for each of the subjects of Mathematics & Computer Science/Information Technology to the candidate who studied at 10+2 level at the time of admission in B.C.A. 1st.

They are phd and some of them are post-graduate from the best universities holder and have a great experience of teaching.
Good internships are there at BCA as various tech recruiters and industries had collaborations with DAVC and that helped students to work on high profile job roles and have the best of work environment as well as the actual pressure.

Dislikes

There are no internships in my department and i?ve no clue as if they have in other departments.

Courses curriculum was good but some subject was really old but its from panjab University im not going to blame dav for this and mainly they taught every basis things but i think they need to add more latest technology subject in courses

Campus life is pretty good and vast. The students are very welcoming
Teachers are friendly and make you feel comfortable. They make sure you study and enjoy your college Life

Dislikes

Infrastucture is pretty bad but it is acceptable comparing to other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are taken every three months and are easy if you study. Syllabus is taught within the class and nothing out of syllabus is asked in the exams. In bca there are generally 4-5 subjects each semester.

Teachers were good cooperative also. They know about their field.
Ample of free time also. Syllabus was not vast.

Dislikes

Sometimes classes not happen in college.
Campus was not so big so one easily get bored.

So I am always interested in computers that's why choose BCA. Teachers were good student to faculty ratio was about 1 Professor on 20 students. The faculty was well qualified PhD's generally. The exams were not so difficult and they were on time.

I liked the way of teaching of the faculty very much. there experience could be easily be seen from their way of teaching.
The campaign and the initiatives taken by the students for the poor people are very appreciable.

Dislikes

The hostel facilities are very bad which includes the washrooms and the mess in particular.
The process of any listening to a complaint is very time taking.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I chose the BCA course because of expecting the future era as the era of technology and in Chandigarh DAV is the best college for BCA. 2) The faculty has a good experience of minimum 7 to 8 years. 3) They are fully aware of the easiest method to explain the students all the concepts. 4) The exams were quiet easy for the students who have attended the classes honestly and dedicatedly did their work. 5) The faculty to students ratio is about 1:60 and I think that is quiet favourable and enough as many of the students were absentees.

Fee Structure And Facilities:

The college charges a very decent fee for all its Courses and the same for BCA. The total fee for the 3-year programme was INR 1.11 lacs and students can get further concessions/aids if they fulfill the eligibility criterias. Students have to pay this fee in annual shifts of INR 36480 in II & III year while for the I year some extra charges are added to it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose BCA because I am really passionate about software engineering and coding in general. Course curriculum includes in 1st sem C programming,English,maths,computer fundamentals 2nd sem C++, Computer organisation and architecture, English, Web technologies(html,css,JavaScript) 3rd sem Data structures, Numerical analysis, System design 4th sem DBMS, operating system,Software management 5th sem computer networking, Java language, Backend web development 6th sem project and seminars. Odd semester exams are likely to happen in December to Jan and even sem exam happens in may Faculty is really good and helping always to ready to listen your problems and provide solution to your problems.

Teachers were efficient, they were well-qualified and experienced. Teaching methods were great. Educational tours were also a part of the curriculum. DAV CHD is one of the top-ranked colleges of PU. Annual fests, sports events, tours, etc. were organised.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum is regularly updated by the college as well as the affiliated university. Proper industrial exposure is given to the students by organising seminars,workshops, industrial vists and industrial weeks.
