A collage with a history of two hundred years is sure to have building and intellectual assets which have witnessed historic events and experiences for both men and women who have played a great role in the history of this land .
Collage has a great facilities mainly for science departments which includes laboratories , department libraries which is a repository of several rare and very old books which are referance materials for research scholars.

Dislikes

Faculty:

Faculties are very friendly and there is average 8-10 faculties in each department. They empower students to be agents of transformation and equip them to face local and global challenges. Most of them are PhD holders.

The architecture of the buildings .it's really vintage and it's built in the 80s .
It's really peaceful. it's always a cold inside our campus

Dislikes

Ever since the principal changed the campus has been a bit untidy.the water coolers , the pat , the gates , it's really dirty.
Poor maintenance in the canteen and harsh behaviour from the staffs of the canteen

Faculty:

Compared to other departments ,there's less number of students in every classes and there's is even more less number of men in our department. Same goes for faculties. There only two teachers in charge of the ug program and 3 for the pg students. I will say the best one of the faculty in our department is ms.anjitha .she's really dedicated and hardworking and she genuinely wants the best for her students and does everything she can to make us reach out goal.shes really friendly and loving and more like our friend. She always has our back no matter what happens. As for ms .Veena, she does her job and she's really hard working but then she is someone who gossips among students and other facilities. She can be a bit two faced and she genuinely only cares about her job and she's really laid back she makes her students do most of the work. We have 2 exams in one semester that is the internals and the main and we have 5 subjects and the exams are moderate.

The faculty of the department are so friendly.And the labs are well equipped and maintained
The college have a very good syllabus and the portions are completed on time.Smooth conduct of examination and result publishing

Faculty:

They are very friendly and motivate us to participate in various competitions and research activities.Along wuth that they teach complete syllabus on time and prepare as for the final exams.They are very much supportive.

Atmosphere of the college is really nice
infrastructure is also good in CMS. Very traditional and beautiful buildings

Some teachers got moral policing mentality

Faculty:

I'm a part of the English department in the college. Our Faculties are well United, so we also get some inspiration from them. Teachers really know what they are doing. Well prepared and educated for taking classes. Even though if we have our of syllabus questions. They have answers. And most importantly they make us feel like we are a part of the family.

Festivals are very low so our enjoyment will be less

Faculties are very good and friendly that they help us with anything we need at anytime.even they are very active in the programme we conduct and they motivate us to be part of the programmes. They will be with us anything we need.

Course is offering a detailed study on Journalism, mass communication and English literature Which is very good to study on a single go.
Provides an opportunity for film production, news reading.

Dislikes

Department is at the top of a different department and there is no facility.
Limitation in number of classrooms and faculty members.

Faculty:

The faculty members of communicative. English department at CMS College,Kottayam is very friendly and helps us in all aspects of our life and college. gifts, right amount of advice and helps in improving academically and supports you in your skill development as well. teachers also are qualified to educate children in the department. teachers are open to friendly conversations and interactive functions organised in the department. due to the limitation of number of seats and the department. Teachers will have a connection with all the students in a class and helps us throughout the year course provided.

Assistance from some of the teaching staffs are limited

Faculty:

The head of the department was great in teaching and mentoring. We can contact our class warden in case of any need and assistance. We also have a great faculty in the botany department. The non teaching staffs should also be appreciated for their efforts and helps.

Best place to study B A English Literature,Communication and Journalism

Well maintained premises.The exams and results are on time and no lag in syllabus completion.College has a Theatre for educational purposes and media room for the CMS news channel.
One of the oldest library facility in Kerala that promotes the reading habit in students. The library not only provides research section but also have access to numerous e-books and facilities.

Dislikes

Though my department offered very good facilities for the improvement of students, the science departments do not have any advanced lab facilities or other necessities.
Toilet facility is not available in all departments.

Faculty:

Communicative English department have very approachable and highly qualified faculties. They are always supportive and helps in all activities of the students.They insists on publishing a department magazine and publishing short storys written by students every year. Even after completing the course they helped us in getting internships and placements.

The library is bigger and has a study centre on the same building

The hostel facilities or quality of food provided there
Not much of time for students interaction

The faculty members are professionals and experienced Many departments have teachers above 25 years of experience We have daily basis interaction with faculties and they even provide student mentorship
