Campus Life

the campus life is pretty decent. nothing to really boast about. the college holds multiple fests. the main one being splendore. which is typically held in December. the college library is one of the best in the state i would say as it is around 17k sq meters and has a wide range of books from all subjects and other types of book.. the classrooms are very good with acs and charging docks for the students electronics. the teachers have access to a smart board that allows them to display the study material . and also use it as a canvas for teaching. Sports and extracurriculars are given almost equal importance to academics here in rcss. As long as you are willing to pursue them you will definitely get an opportunity as they hold multiple inter department sports tournaments and extra curricular competitions. There are not many student run socials groups or clubs. there are designated clubs for each department but many of them are not very active .

Faculty

1:50, faculty is great with the students , forming personal connection with appropriate barriers and most of them are very approachable. i liked faculty members like Mrs Ebina and Mrs achamma alex as theyve been very supportive and helpful to me. there are not many faculty members you would dislike at this college. There are 3 exams each semester. two internals that are marked out of 50 and 1 end sem exam. the exams are at moderate difficulty and everyone passes the semester with not much difficulty. the curriculum is very relevant to the major we are pursuing

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees for first Sem for BCom Finance and taxation (SF) would be 26500 and for the second sem it would be 20480 The third and fourth sem fee would be 19500 each... The exam registration fee is 750 excluding union fees For management quota you'll have to pay the whole first year fees altogether ie, 50000 You can get admitted through merit and for sc/st they would reduce the fee to a redux amount

Faculty

The faculty members I would say are very kind You can approach them whenever you want they are very friendly.. Most of them are young teachers as well so they understand us very well. The exams I would say are moderate If you're from the commerce stream you can easily clear them It's all the basics so if u do study you'll be able to clear it

Fees and Financial Aid

Okay so for the first year since im taking Acca along with Bcom, i had to pay 2,15,000. second year 2,05,000 and the third year 2,25,700. I think for bcom courses with add ons like CA and all the fees is lower than this. and one thing is the Acca fees does not include the exam fees which we have to pay seperately which can range from 30k - 20k for one exam. There is many scholarships available which the college will notify you about

Course Curriculum Overview

I heard great things about acca course and decided to do it in Rajagiri because of its reputation and because of the pass rate of the acca papers in Rajagiri. The exams are very frequent in Rajagiri with two internals per semester then the semester exam. so with two semesters in one year you have to write 6 exams in a year along with acca exams

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose bcom because it's gives job opportunities in every establishments because accounting is most important thing in any establishments.this curriculum made me very close to life normal people or middle class and how to spend money how to save money.but I suggest little improvement in the spoon fiding of the course more time consuming for teachers to complete the syllabus.the frequency between exams are little high...one exam ends and another exams almost next month it's very difficult and uncomfortable

Faculty

There are around 52 faculties are available in the college.the relationship between the faculties and students are great there is no bad situations happened between the faculties and students.I liked a professor named george petter he is very friendly and I disliked a teacher named Athira because she is very less interactive.there are almost 100 exams some are difficult but majority are comfortable.the course curriculum is very relevant in this scenario

Internships Opportunities

The one-month internship at Amrita Hospital's Accounts Section, arranged by the college, offered an invaluable learning experience despite being unpaid. This opportunity allowed students to gain practical insights into the daily workings of a professional accounting department within a reputed institution. Interns were exposed to various aspects of financial management, including bookkeeping, invoice processing, and financial reporting. The program also included hands-on training with accounting software, ensuring students developed technical skills alongside theoretical knowledge. Furthermore, interns had the chance to assist in GST-related filings and audit preparations, which proved instrumental in bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry practices. The mentorship provided by the hospital’s accounts team was a highlight, as they patiently guided interns through complex tasks while fostering a supportive work environment. The college’s coordination with the hospital was seamless, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and clear communication throughout the internship. Although the absence of a stipend might be a drawback for some, the comprehensive exposure and skill-building opportunities made this internship a worthwhile experience. It successfully enhanced students’ confidence and prepared them for future roles in finance and accounting. In conclusion, this internship exemplified the college’s commitment to providing meaningful industry exposure to its students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees starts from approximately 40000 excluding exam fees and other fees and it declines to almost 35000 on the last year of college. The fees you have to pay for management seat is very expensive considering the lack of facilities in this college(Chinmaya college Tripunithura Kerala)under MG University I can't speak about lab fees as my course didn't require usage of the labs. The students from management admission has to pay 60000 as admission fee and the yearly fee structure is same as merit students. As for the financial aid and scholarships we were told to fill out our details for a scholarship but there wasn't any follow up on it from the college management.

Campus Life

The worst part of this college is the lack of activities and events, faculty and management has no interest in providing a satisfying campus life to students instead they are focused on just the academic part of the college. There will be the surface level celebrations such as onam and christmas, college day and arts day and expect nothing more. The library requires a membership which is diabolical considering the amount of fees paid. The PE techer is the only person who has some interest in providing a good campus life for the students but the lack of a college ground makes it harder for him to do that.

Exams are little bit tough because of MCQ . Informal interaction I didn't like . faculty in colleges tend to be more accessible.Teachers have to spend some time with students in outside classes. My favourite faculty member is my mdc miss.she is very sweet and she has the ability to make complex topics both relatable and interesting.

Course Curriculum Overview

The rating of a course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness depends on several factors such as how well it aligns with academic adavancement and students long term goals. It helps students to understand both theoretical and practical knowledge

Fees and Financial Aid

I should pay a fees of 20000/- for a year means 10,000/- for a semester Other than that there is funds like association fee and other fees I'm merit student so i have to pay 20,000 yearly and my friends who admitted through management they have to pay almost 1 lakh rs/- per year plus the management fund too
