Under the Department of Social Sciences, the institute provides Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Rural Management, Agricultural Statistics, Mathematics and Languages (both English and Tamil).
Candidates should have passed all the subjects in an academic stream of the qualifying examination with 10+2 years of schooling under Board of Higher Secondary Education of Government of Tamil Nadu / Central Board of Secondary Education / Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations / other State Government Boards / other International Boards that are recognized.

Admission for B.Sc Agriculture is given the basis of ranking procedure on aggregate marks. Aggregate Mark is calculated as follows:
Aggregate Mark = Sum of ((marks obtained in each subject /maximum mark for that subject) X 50) all the four subjects considered.
In cases where more than one student has got the same aggregate marks in the common merit list, the inter se merit among such students shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below:

yes we will be provided with more outdoor classes where we could gain more experiance. Course has been updated recently and exam pattern has been changed in order to improving students knowledge and practical knowledge
Our course is updated very much. We have industrial exposure from first semester onwards. The facilities are very nice and I think prof. Subramanian is very good professor. He is always motivative and jovial person.
Our course (Agribusiness Management) curriculum was well framed according to the existing practices. Moreover, our course syllabus is an updated and an advanced combination of Agriculture and management studies. It encomprised of agriculture subjects like Agronomy, plant breeding and genetics, Pathology, Entomology, Soil science, Microbiology, biotechnology, etc and Management subjects like Managerial economics, Marketing management, Supply Chain Management, Food business management, HRM, Organizational behaviour ans many more interesting subjects along with yoga, physical education training and NSS/NCC. Also we had a very good Industrial exposure all over India. There will be atleast 4-5 IV's per semester. During the 3rd academic year students will be taken for "TamilNadu industrial tour" for 7 days and during the 4th academic year, students will be taken for "All India Tour" for 21 days. Mostly the Agriculture and food based industries and the Research Institutes will be visited during the tours. The faculties are very intellectual and student-friendly.
Since it an government operated campus academic fees are feasible which was also supported by different scholarships to students. Fees structure was completely transparent and there is no hidden charges or additional fees. Initially the mode of payment of college fees was through cash, bankers cheque or Demand draft issued by banks. Later online payments through SBI collect was initiated.
The course if of four year duration divided into eight semesters. The fee can be paid semester wise and the fee structure per year is as follows: First year Second year Third year Fourth year Tuition fee 50,225 41,200 41,200 41,200 Total fee for the entire programme is Rs. 1,74,000.
The fees structure of is very feasible. Every year we should pay the semester fees of around 12thousand per each semester and then for materials and hostel and need fees will be sperate and should pay every month
