What's New in Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines)?
IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MBA admission 2024 is ongoing. IIT Dhanbad MBA results will be announced during the first week of May. Other updates are as follows:
- IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MTech admission 2024 is going on. The online application form will be available till April 17, 2024. Furthermore, the date of the Written Test/ Interview for the Sponsored Candidates is June 23, 2024 (Tentative).
- IIT (ISM) Dhanbad BTech admissions 2024 are based on JEE Advanced score followed by JoSAA Counselling. JEE Advanced 2024 Exam dates are out. The exam will be conducted on May 26, 2024. Registration for the exam can be done from April 21, 2024, to April 30, 2024, on the official website at jeeadv.ac.in.
IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offers a 2 year full time MBA program as its flagship program and MBA in Business Analytics. Admission to both the courses is based on CAT scores and past academic record followed by online personal Interview. This year WAT round is excluded from ISM Dhanbad MBA Admission. B.Tech Candidates from IIT with 8.0 CGPA are exempted from CAT score requirements and are called for direct online interviews. A total of 62 seats are available in MBA while 30 seats are available in MBA-Business Analytics.
Apart from MBA, ISM Dhanbad also offers M.Tech in Industrial Engineering & Management (IE&M) and PhD. Admisison to the course is done based on GATE score followed by a counselling process. IIT Graduates and Spnsored candidates are exempted from GATE score. Check IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Courses and Fees

ISM Dhanbad offers MBA and MBA (Business Analytics) for 2 years. In General MBA, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offers specializations such as Financial Management, Operations Management, Marketing Management, and Human resource Management.
ISM Dhanbad MBA Eligibility
- For MBA, candidates must have a minimum 60% marks in Bachelor’s degree. It is compulsory to have Mathematics/Statistics in Bachelor’s as one of the subjects.
- For MBA Business Analytics, Candidates must have passed B.Tech with a minimum 60% aggregate score.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offers M.Tech courses with specialization in Industrial Engineering and Management. The admission is offered in 3 modes i.e Gate candidates, IIT B.Tech Graduate candidates, and Sponsored candidates.
ISM Dhanbad M.Tech Eligibility
For GATE Category:
- It is required to have a B.Tech/B.E/Masters (Science/Arts/ Commerce) degree with 6.0 CGPA or 60% marks.
- A Valid GATE score
For IIT Graduates:
- Candidates must have a minimum 8.0 in B.Tech degree.
- IIT Graduates are exempted from GATE score requirements.
For Sponsored Category:

To be eligible to apply for an MBA course in IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, it's important to have mathematics as one of your subjects in your graduation stream. The application form can be found on the official website of the Department of Management Studies official website once the application is out. The announcement for the same is made on the Pagalguy website by the admission committee. Though during the online interview process, no timeline was given and we had to wait for 1-1.5 hr for the interview to begin so the interview could've been conducted smoothly. The process was great and the admission committee helped us throughout the process.
Admission:
A valid score in GATE score is important to be eligible for M.Tech admissions in this institute. The final selections for seats allotment was done as per the counselling process only. But students who have done their graduation from IIT group can apply even without appearing in the GATE score but they must have a CGPA of 8 in their B.Tech programme.

Yes JEE mains followed by JEE Advanced, again it's well known examinations. Most difficult on an intermediate level with selection ratio less than 1 percent.

No, due to covid there is no GD but I faced telephonic personal interview that. Is very simple and they just ask why you want joined this institute and what'll your step after joining course you'll continue or join any PSU if u get. So guys don't need to be over Thinker this'll go very smoothly.
Remarks:
ISON Dhanbad is considered the 3rd best Earth science college in all of Asia and the best in India. Admission is given two candidates based on their CAT examination score, academic performance, online interview and industry experience. In the final selection, online interview is given the highest weightage.

For ph.d. I hone through interview. As I was student of same college. so all the teachers just asked me that they taught in m.sc class. We the student of same college faced more questions I think. but the syllabus was same for all.
Remarks:
ISM Dhanbad is good in placements, infrastructures, faculties etc. It has 29th rank in NIRF 2020. It is good in terms of ROI. The main reason for me to join here was the affordable fees to pursue MBA. The admission is merit based on CAT scores, WAT and PI.

Direct admission after counseling through JAM entrance exam. Only documents verification and medical test will be conducted in institute during admission. students need to achieve a good rank in jam to take admission.

I have given JEE MAINS AND Advanced exam. I have worked hard for 2 years to get an AIR 7498 in JEE Advanced exam. You should get at least an AIR below than 10,000 to get a seat in IIT.
Remarks:
Reason why I preffered this college was that I had applied for a few colleges out of which I got selected in this. To take admission in this college we were supposed to have scored 75% marks ( 65% for SC/ST students) in 12th grade. They admit students to the course on the basis of JEE Advanced scores followed by JoSAA Counselling. Admission for the course generally starts from July. The admission process is simple. I preffered the online mode where I filled my application in the official website of the institute and attached the required documents. Then I paid the application fee and submitted the form.
