Aspirants seeking admission into this course

An aggregate of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
The merit shall be determined on the basis of one language (core/elective/functional) and three best academic/elective subjects as specified in List A and List B above may be chosen. One non-listed subject (besides the elective subjects in Lists A and B) can be included in calculation of ‘Best Four’ without any deduction.
If more than one non-listed subject is included for calculation of ‘Best Four’, a deduction of 2.5% each in ‘Best Four’ may be levied in addition to deduction due to change of stream, if any.
There is no deduction of 5% on Best Four percentage in case of change of stream for admission to BA Programme.

Note: The following Examination fee has been charged (Only for semester):

Under Graduate: Rs. 100/- per paper, subject to minimum of Rs. 400/- for each paper per Semester.

Post Graduate: Rs. 150/- per paper, subject to minimum of Rs. 600/- for each paper per Semester.

B.El.Ed. / B.Ed.: Rs. 200/- per paper, subject to minimum of Rs. 800/- for each paper per Semester.

B.Sc. (H) Computer Sc.: Rs. 200/- per paper, subject to minimum of Rs. 800/- for each paper per Semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Economics honours is a very demanding course. It is one of the toughest courses in DU. The faculty in SPMCW was mostly good. The faculty student ratio was roughly 1:30 for core subjects. Term exams requires you to have knowledge, else you can fail. It is not one of those courses which you can pass with common sense.

Economic Honour is a well-versed course that has a reputation in the market. The whole Economic Department is very nice. Well-qualified teachers and a simple and easy way of teaching. Exams are taken based on the semester wise.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I wanted to do economics honors which I, unfortunately, couldn't enroll in so as per my plans I went ahead and I decided to do a BA program in economics. As I got admission when we were in the middle of the lockdown our university received unusual no. Of applications which resulted in extremely high no. Of admissions because of which the most I've had was 114 students in a class. The Professor and assistant professor of my colleague hold a master's to a Ph.D. degree in their respective subjects .thee teaching method is pretty flexible. They won't mind repeating something if it's needed. Term exams are not that difficult, especially in my case whatever has been taught in the lectures it's just it we just have to attend our lectures and pay some attention.

I took BA(h) in economics. The faculty is good they have a good experience. They are friendly with the students and look forward to putting their best. Whereas some teachers are there who r not soo good. But overall it's okay.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is updated every year and the faculties guide us in every way possible. Industrial exposure was satisfactory but not very good. The falculties are amazing. The photocopy shop of the college provides with all the study material that is required for every course. He updates them per semester so students need not to worry about the academics because thus college is serious about the study of the students.
