Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences Admission 2024
Admission to Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences is based on the scores obtained in NEET UG and NEET PG. For admission to the MBBS program candidates need 50% marks in PCBE in 10+2, while reserved category candidates need 45% marks in 10+2 for admission into the MBBS program via NEET UG. 55% marks in MBBS + 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship are required for admission to the MD/MS program.
In the MBBS program at Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences, out of 150 seats, 15% of seats are reserved for All India Quota, whereas 85% are reserved for the State Quota. NEET UG scores are accepted for admission to the MBBS program. MCC conducts counselling for AIQ or All India Quota seats, while KEA conducts counselling for State Quota seats. Candidates need to register on the NTA website i.e. nta.ac.in. and upload all the documents asked. Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences accepts counselling from MCC and KEA. To get a seat through all India quota you need rank under 10k but to get seat by Karnataka quota you need rank under 50k minimum in general category. Admission in our college is done via all India counseling and Karnataka state counselling the applications of which are available after neet ug results on kea.kar.nic.in

Admission:
MBBS course takes eligibility via a national level exam called neet. The cutoff for my college was all India rank 52000. The application form for the college is provided by the state government of Karnataka for state quota students which is 85 percent. Remaining India quota students take part in mcc national-level counselling. The application fees depend on the quota and reservation categories. I had no reservations so to write the exam I gave 1600 rs. To take part in state counselling it was 500 rs. For me going through the state quota, the info came on the kea official website for neet counselling. People with caste certificate which shows low income and their caste will get benefits based on the caste.
Course Curriculum Overview:
All the departments are there , but there are some vacancies are there , but is enough for a MBBS student to study , and hospital is just front of the college , u can get adequate clinical exposure too
