Bhandarkars Arts and Science College was established in 1963. The aim of the college is to meet the demand of the university education and make it available to the poorest sections of the rural community and also to create a sense of awareness among the students.

Infrastructure:

The campus of the college covers an area of about 9.68 acres
The large H-shaped four storied main building in the campus houses, 32 class rooms, 14 staff rooms, principal’s chamber, meeting hall, college office, laboratories , ladies common room, boys common room, natural history museum, history museum, multimedia language laboratory and audio-visual halls
The four storied library building has a well equipped audio visual hall, a seminar hall, and art gallery in addition to the reference section, a general reading hall and a separate reading hall for lady students, news paper section, a separate wing for periodicals and journals, internet section and stack section

There is a ladies hostel in the college with all facilities
It has 18 rooms and has a capacity of 54 students

Mid Day Meal:

During the present academic year, free mid-day meals were provided to 314 students
Midday Meals Endowment Fund up to the year 2013-2014 is Rs. 22,88,600

Likes

One full block designated for campus library with different sections like newspaper reading, book reading and studying.
A vast ground with football court, volleyball and basketball.

Dislikes

Xerox charges were more expensive than outside.
Mobile phones were prohibited in the campus.

Admission:

I applied in 3 college namely Bhandarkars Arts and science college, B.B hegde college kundapura and govt college in kota . I got confirmed seats in all three but I chose Bhandarkars because of its faculty and service which it is providing from last 70 years. For admission you can apply online and offline. For admission anyone who is 12th pass can apply.

Dislikes

They put fine on even the smallest and also on the things which they could forgive
For some reason I don't like the college very much

I didn't apply for many colleges girls there were less colleges in our area and most of the colleges were far from where we leave so we couldn't apply for many colleges. Since I didn't apply for many colleges I didn't get rejected from any of them

Likes

There are lots of good infrastructure that includes campus amenities and learning facilities
Our college gives first preference to education and also co curricular activities

Dislikes

In stationary there is only one staff to print Xerox. This consumes lots of time
The washroom is not maintained clean and it stinks. Though students voiced about this there was no changes done regardinly

Admission:

I did not apply for any other college since this was my first preference. As I didn't apply for anyother college I didn't face any rejection. For addmission first the student should appear for entrance exam and their marksheet is also seen by the faculty

Admission:

I was trying for engineering colleges but my cet rank was less than expected so I decided to some course that would be equal to engineering. And then the thought of my college came, since there was nice placement in our college I thought of joining it. After analysing my score in second pu I was admissioned to this college since my score was good not on any entrance exam.

Bhandarkars' Arts and Science college Kundapura, Udupi has its own reputation in the society. It scored A rank in NAC. Comparing to other colleges here we get a very good teaching staff and also non teaching staff also very good. They treat every students equally. Mainly you can see a one of the very large library in our college which is very famous too.
