Institute of Business Management & Research in Bangalore, Karnataka is a private institution established in 1999. IBMR offers two years full-time MBA program affiliated to two universities.

MBA course affiliated with Bharathiar University is offered in fourteen specializations, whereas the other MBA course is affiliated to the University of Mysore. The institute also offers MBA (Executive) program, it is a two years program specifically designed for working professionals. IBMR also offers one-year diploma program in Entrepreneurship and Business Management.

Application forms for MBA and MBA (Executive) can be filled online or can be downloaded from IBMR Bangalore website.
Candidates applying for MBA (Full time) program must have done graduation with at least 50% marks.
Candidate must qualify MAT/ CAT/ XAT/ PGCET/ GMAT/ IBMR entrance test, etc. for admission to MBA program.
Selection is done on the basis of academic performance, interview performance, test scores, work experience (if any), commitment to the course and co-curricular achievements and awards of the candidates.
For MBA (Executive) program, candidate must pass a Bachelor’s degree and must have work experience after graduation.
Selection to MBA (Executive) program is done on the basis of interview.

Admission to Diploma is done directly on the basis of marks obtained in last qualifying examination.

Candidates willing to pursue MBA course affiliated with the University of Mysore must have valid score in any of the MAT/ CAT/ XAT/ Karnataka PGCET/ ATMA entrance exams. Institute of Business Management & Research offers diploma course in Entrepreneurship and Business Management. The program is recognized by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI). The course begins in the month of January, April, July and October.

Candidates having Degree/ Diploma in any discipline and those who are in the final year of their degree, are eligible to join the course. Selection is done based on direct admission.

Download the application form & Program brochure from the official website or obtain a copy of the application from the College office.
Submit a completed application form along with photocopies of all academic and professional documents.
Short-listed applicants will be called for personal interview and the successful candidates will be notified of the admission decision through regular mail/email.

Admissions are granted on the basis of merit in the CAT exam. My CAT score was pretty decent, but still, I have to wait for the second round of counselings. After that, I appeared for the interview round and Group discussion, which was pretty easy for me as I was practising for the interview round and giving mock interviews.

Admissions are granted on the basis of the CAT entrance exam. The cut-off was not that high during my batch, that's why I got a call for the counselling round. The counselling round included the Group Discussion and Interview round, which were aimed at testing the presence of the mind and persuasive behaviour of the student.

I was looking for college's so I applied for KMAT. Along with that they take an online exam which you can give as they provide the link and time bound after you clear that you are set up for a telephonic interview for which a time slot is given to you and the interview is taken. In accordance with your interview, how you perform concession on fees is given to you. Then the brochure and certificate is posted to your address.
