Mohindra College Patiala Admission 2024: Registration, Application form, Merit List
Government Mohindra College is a 141 Years old educational institution which was established in the year 1875. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, Science and Computer Stream.
In addition to the regular courses, the college also offers a few professional courses. Students looking forward to pursue a career in law can choose 5-year B.A. LLB course. Additionally, graduates can also go for short term PG Diploma courses which are of 1 year only.
Admission to the Mohindra College is done on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the qualifying exam. A student aspiring for taking admission in the institution will have to appear in person before admission committee. After recommendation by the admission committee, the approval is given by the Principal for admission.
- Applications process in the Mohindra College begins in the month of June-July every year.
- Admission after the last date is also available with late fees ranging from Rs. 500 to Rs. 2000 as per delay
- Admission with late fee is only expected upto one month from the last date
- Total intake of Mohindra College is approximately 1,500 seats per year

- A course can be started only if minimum ten students get selected for admission.
- Candidates from other states can also apply for admission. Such students will have to obtain eligibility certificate from Punjabi University, Patiala prior to admission in the institution.
- A few seats are reserved for certain categories as follows:
- 25% for Scheduled Caste
- 5% for Backward Class
- 3% for handicap
- 2% for sports
- 2% for the children, grandchildren of freedom fighters
- 2% for wards of teachers/employees of education department
- 2% for wards of victims(50% disabled) of terrorist/police actions, migrated Sikhs.
- 2% for wards of Armed Force / CRPF / BSF / Police personnel (in service, retired, expired during service)

Mohindra College offers admission in undergraduate programmes in various fields with a total number of 1,100 seats. The duration for all the UG courses are 3 years, except B.Sc in Agriculture and B.A. LLB., duration of which are 4 and 5 years respectively. The candidates can also try their hands in the field of Mass Communication with the BJMC course.
Key Points to Note:
- For Commerce Students: An additional weightage of 10% is given to the students who have a Commerce background during 10 + 2 and want to pursue B.Com. (Hons)
- For Science Students: Both medical and non medical students can choose Science stream in pass as well as honours courses
- For Arts Students: Arts students who want to pursue Science need to note that Mathematics should be one of the subject in Class 12 for opting in B.Sc (pass) CSM or B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics

Mohindra College Patiala PG Admissions 2024
The Mohindra College offers admission in postgraduate programmes in the field of arts, science, commerce and computer education. In addition, the college also offers PG Diploma courses in three subjects - Computer Applications, Internet and Web-designing and Yoga. The total intake capacity at PG level every year is approximately 400 seats.
The duration of all the regular PG courses are of 2 years, except MCA, duration of which is 3 years. All the PG Diploma courses are of 1 year.

because of its outstanding reputation and ranking in the field of business. Building of college, and this is the very famous college of patiala it's actually a king's place in 1856, then he gives this place to authority for clg building ?

- Lectures on regular bases. Teachers are kind

- Sanitation system can be emproved in science department
- Dusting can be done for railing and stairs
Admission:
Admission is based on marks you obtain in your 10+ 2 exam. As u know science students get less marks in 10+2 because of its difficult syllabus. Anyone above 70 marks can take admission in this college.
Likes
- The campus is great. Building is quite magnificent and building is divided into several blocks
- The Principal is very humble and down to earth person. He regularly inspects the classroom and checks for any inconvenience to students
Dislikes
- Not particularly the college but the behaviour of some of the guards out on the gate
- Some seniors keep bragging about the teachers and try to get the students off their path which is very disappointing
Admission:
The admission process is quite simple and feasible. It took me only half an hour to apply and get admission at Government Mohindra College. The college gives admission to the students securing above pass percentage in 12th and 10th examinations and luckily I got 93.4 and 89 percentage in 12th and 10th respectively so I got admission easily and the application form coulde be found at the college's official website along with other related details.

You have to pass out 12th from any streak to take this course. You can apply on the Punjab govt admission portal to get admitted to the college. Reserved Category students can enjoy the scholarship benefit.

Eligibility 60% marks with any stream in 12th Arts, Commerce, Non-medical. Application forms are available at the website of government Mahindra college with application fees of 200 with admission fees of 30000 Reservations are available for the SC category with additional scholarship benefits

Application forms are available in the college computer department. after form completion then u have to wait for about a month then your name appears on cut off list then u can pay fees. There are different reserving categories for admission according to the Class like general, BC, SC
Admission:
Any student of class 12th passed in any stream can apply for bachelor of computer application (BCA) application forms are available on college site every year and you near about August and September and you can also apply by visiting the college.
Admission:
We just have to apply after our 12th, then they'll make a merit list according to our marks, and percentage, and we will check that list from the notice board or they will upload it online, then if our name is there on the admission board, we will get admission. We'll get a prospectus or admission form from the college itself and after filling the form we'll submit the same to the department in which we are seeking to take admission.
Admission:
It was a very nice experience here, the course was excellent and the teachers were helpful. Admission was given on the basis of the merit list. I learn a lot of things from here. Moreover is a prestigious college also. It was made in the 1860s by Mohinder Singh. 3rd most old college of India. All the teachers and staff coordinate with students.
Remarks:
Good infrastructure, large playgrounds, is located in the middle of the city, it was established in 1857, fees structure very good,crowd of college is also very helpful,the college provides all types of courses.
