Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies (YIMS) is situated in the Palakkad district of Kerala. Affiliated to the University of Calicut.
YIMS Palakkad offers UG courses viz. B.Sc. and B.A. along with PG courses i.e M.A in English and M.Com in Finance. YIMS is the first university in Kerala to offer a regular degree in Hotel Management.
- For admission to B.Sc, a candidate need to have passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with a minimum of 27 Grade Point Value (GPV) in 6 subjects.
- For B.Com in Finance, the candidates need to have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 45% marks.
- For B.B.A, candidates should have obtained 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- Candidates applying to B.A. in English Literature need to have passed the HSE of Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination.
- For B.Sc. courses, candidates need to have passed HSE of the Kerala Board or its equivalent with 45% marks.
- For admission to M.Com in Finance, students with 45% marks in B.Com are eligible to apply.
- The basic eligibility for admission to M.A. in English is 45% marks in B.A. English.
- Admission to YIMS is interview-based after being shortlisted on the basis of merit.

YIMS Palakkad UG Admission 2023
YIMS offers various 3-year Bachelor courses which includes B.Sc. in 6 specializations with a combined intake of 276 students, BCA with an intake of 60 students, B.A. in English Literature with a total of 40 seats, along with 50 and 100 seats in BBA and B.Com with Finance, respectively.
The minimum eligibility for admission to UG courses is the candidate should have passed the HSE with minimum 45% marks. Selection of candidates to the UG courses is done on the basis of merit, followed by interview.

In case of B.Sc, there is a concession of 3 GPV points in OBC/OEC candidates whereas SC/ST applicants require only a pass in HSE from a recognized board.
- For B.Sc. in Computer Science, a candidate should have passed 10+2 with Mathematic/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Application as one of the subjects.
- Candidates applying to BCA must have passed 10+2 with Mathematic/Computer Science/ Computer Application/Information Practices as one of the subjects.
- In case of BBA, candidate should have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks.
- Candidates applying to B.Com in Finance should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in HSE or any equivalent examination.
- For B.Com in Computer Application, candidates need to have passed HSE with at least one commerce subject.
YIMS Palakkad MA and M.Com Admission 2023
At the PG level, YIMS offer two-year PG courses viz. M.Com with Finance and M.A. in English. The total number of seats in both the courses are 15. Candidates are shortlisted for admission to the PG courses on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree examination.
Candidates seeking admission to PG courses must have passed graduation with at least 45% marks in their relevant bachelors degree. For admission to M.A. in English candidates who have not graduated with English as one of their subjects might be required to appear an entrance examination.

This course just requires 12th grade pass and this course not a diploma course this is a BSC Hotel Management so now it is being 4 years in older days it was 3 years course. So so many students to join these courses nowadays

- YIMS campus is the first thing that will catch ur attention as the sprawling green campus is full of amenities students could wish for.

- Administration of our college is like the best as we are supported throughout in whichever department we are and they keep a close eye on every faculty to make sure students are prioritized.
Admission:
Admissions in YIMS are purely on merit and cut-off for B.Com is around 80%. Student has to have a science or a commerce stream to enroll for B.Com. As many as 3 lists were declared as intake is low and competition is high. You get ample time to confirm your admission as there is enough gap between every list. The admission process is transparent and students are chosen purely on merit and hence the quality of students here is top-class.

- The eco-friendly campus. The campus are covered with trees.
- The library of the collage. The library is big and contain different variety of books.
Dislikes
- Some teaching faculties. I found them not fit for the teaching position
- The strictness level i felt over there. The strictness level can be reduced as we are collage students

The admission process was pretty smooth for me. The eligibility of the course is 12th pass .The details regarding the collage the admission process etc..are fully provided on their website and it is available in Google also the application form can be find from Google or you can directly go to collage. The reservation benefits are mentioned on their website.The exam process on there was not that much hard.For improvement I didn't have any suggestions since I find the admission process great.

The course I chose because I want to be an income tax councilor. The course is eligible who were 70% above marks in +2 exams. The application form can be found at the college office and the application fee is 500. There are no reservations for any students. There is no need for improvement in the admission process.

Good aspect of college is that it's infrastructure and good facilities. College provides all the infrastructure as per our needs also the lab facilities are high college also provides executive grooming standards. Bad aspect is that the college is charging very high fees. The admission process of this college is like the students needs to download the application form should remit the fees to the college office before submitting the application form after submitting the application form an other required documents the college will send the interview card/SMS individually. Once the student passes the interview, he has to remit the fees and submit the required original certificates. Reason for preferring this college is its infrastructure and academic excellence. This college has provided me with way more facilities within this short span of time. situation in a hot district like Palakkad , Yuvakshetra Institute of Management studies is a completely green campus with mind-blowing atmosphere and extraordinarily good service. Though I would like to mark the fact that certain facilities are quite expensive but still it never fails to mold the children and pave way to their success .Though it is an unaided college in the city of kongad ,it still provides various opportunities within the restrictions of being an unaided college .It even began National Service Scheme in the year of 2020 which was restricted to govt colleges only for a few years. Though the college was for hotel management only , within a few years they expanded the number of courses and made it a college with various courses which include MBA ,BBA ,BSc, B.com, BCA etc. Another thing to mention are the trading centers that are available with staying rooms and food. I got here on merit basis.

To say good about the college is that its infrastructure facilities and good faculties. College provides all the infrastructures as per our needs. Also, the lab facilities are very high. College also provides executive grooming standards. Also, the rules and regulations should be obeyed by all the students. Inside the college, we have good management, good faculties, all staffs are good inside it. The only demerit is that high fees. Other than that the college fulfills all our needs. College faculties also support all our abilities like arts and sports. Many competitions are held and also college wons prizes for everything because management provides the money for group items and we will get a good teacher for it. So there is willing management for all activities. So except the fees, everything is excellent

I had opt bca course due to its huge scope in coming future based on good salary, bettter opportunity and more challenging. The following college is green and is eco friendly The college has a good infrastructure. It provide around 12 ug and 5 pg course.
