What are the Eligibility criteria for admission into Vivekananda College?

A student is admitted to a degree course if he/she has passed the 2-year Pre-University Examination conducted by the Karnataka PU Board or any other examination considered equivalent by the Mangalore University. However, those who seek admission to B.Sc. should have studied the respective subjects at the PU level and those who seek admission to B.Com. should have studied business studies and Accountancy. For B.C.A., a minimum 40% marks in the qualifying examination is required as per the University norms.

How are the placements of the college?

The college provides the placements for recruiting students for banking and other sectors and the top recruiters are Infosys, L & T, WIPRO, BAJAJ, ICICI, Chloris Winman, H.D.F.C., etc.The College has a full-fledged Training & Placement Cell through which our students are being trained in Soft-skills, Individual Development, Facing Interviews, and G.Ds.All these are undertaken with a view to make our graduates more employable and to prepare them for the challenges of the future.

Well experienced faculties will good knowlege.Each topics are explained very well
lab facilities are good with modern instruments. safety precautions are also available
Library facilites are there with vast collection of books. Computer lab supports digits activities and research activities

Dislikes

Mess food sometimes its too very tasty as much I expected.
feel difficult to stay in hostel if roommates do not maintain cleanliness
Heavy workload,assignments and tough seminar topics leads to stress.

Placement Experience:

Placement were done after 7th sem in our college. Many companies were came for campus selection and got selected. Good oppurtunities were provided for placement. companies visted are: Tech mahindra infosis, capgemini, wipro, HCL, cisco, oracle, intel and many more Highest package offered for infosis and tech mahindra with avaerahe package of 4 lakh per year. Percentage of students getting placement is 75% I got selected for glow touch technologies private limited company with annual salary packge of 3 lakh

Ladies room/ rest room will needed spacious place...
Games and sports , and my writing skill improved because I wrote so many articles in so many papers so I m so happy for that ..
Teachers like very close to us.... Every problem solved within second...so we r very glad to we got that kind of teachers....

Dislikes

College pantry system I dnt like... We need very clean and very taste helathy food...
Need to improve at library timings......
We need natural air from outside so we need to improve natural gardens

Canteen I like the because of the food and place are very neat and cleanliness the food price also very affordable and very capable day by day canteen workers also introduce new drinks and new foods I liked very much
I liked most of library area because the library area very silent and very clean environment and I studied laws of books that area very knowledgeable and very capable for the good area . library staffs also very good
My classroom also very good and very neat the classrooms are very big the students are enjoying lots of memory that room my classroom and class board also very wide most of class tabs are very friendly manner

Dislikes

College restroom area was very dirty and very poorly maintenance facts are using only breast room but students or not inconvenience of toilet area toilet room door also not good tabs also not good dirty tapes are and broken taps or lots of it
Bus seats are not convenient the bus seats are very hard and not convenient for 30 minutes to one and half travelling students bus seat kindly change because not good the bus seats also not spaces give space for leg
Sometimes washroom taps or hand washing taps water leakage by underground area the water or staying the area very dirty smell also and drainage smell also very poorly count the tabs or not good and types or not from change the tab strongly

I give five star because of my course valuable that period computer application course lots of people speak to because the cause work for studying the time very popularly job vacant there for computer application that's why I am applied for B.com CA.

College wasgood and l enjoyes and studied well
i liked some of my teacher's who taught me .
i liked my college canteen and food they provide

Dislikes

there was no college fest like other colleges
partiality amongst the students was the main thing
Had to pay the fees on time or else they'll call our parents

I appreciate the teaching style of all the lectures.they are so supportive.If we need any help from the lectures they are always supportive.they will be so friendly towards students.under placement there must be little improvement to get placed.
Campus Life was very good.Nice environment to study.there will be no disturbance.Interaction with friends was very nice,we are enjoying every moment in the campus.When there is any event organized by the college we are all participating in everyevent
The teaching staff where very supportive to get place in a company,the trainers where visiting to the college how to get place,how to improve our skills,how to prepare for the interview these are all they have teached.prepared well in the aptitude.

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem itself the students are eligible for the placements.All are IT companies visiting to the college around 250+ offers are coming.About 5lakh per annum is the highest package.90% of the students got placed in different companies.

Likes

I appreciated some of the good behaviour of lectures and friends.
They even support us in every aspects, the quality of education is excellent, they offer many of the facilities to the students
Students are friendly here they motivate us in every work

Dislikes

Bad behaviour of students, they don't even respect them
They even harm the event sometimes now it is prevented and taken strong action by the principal and lectures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of my personal interest. Curriculum prepares me well, teachers support us in every manner I have found lot of difficulties during exam times but somehow managed well during that time and tried to get good grades.
