Many festival are going in Xavier's college like proteus for microbiology and each department have there separately fest and also one annually fest are also happening in April and proteus is organised in March
St. Xavier's usually takes part in the biggest college events in Goa, such as K-OSS, Tathasthu, Happenings, Pegasus, Phoenix, etc, often securing a winner or runners up spot. One of the highlights of St. Xavier's College is "Plus Points", a 3 day multi event extravaganza where the different departments of the college compete in cultural, sports, educational competition to emerge winners. This is usually a very hyped event that all students as well as faculty members look forward to. St. Xavier's College is also very well known for its sports facilities. The college has received many accolades, one of the most prestigious ones being the Geno award for best sports college. St. Xavier's College is a regular winner in the Goa university organised Basketball, Handball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Football, Athletics and Chess tournaments. Both boys and girls teams are known to perform at the highest level, and a lot of St. Xavier's College students also represent the State in various disciples. NSS and NCC activities are also carried out. In the past, Xavierites have also gone all the way to Delhi and represent the NSS marching parade for the republic day festivities. The college student council is also very approachable, and indirect elections are held. Each class has an elected Class Representative who come together to elect the General secretary, Joint secretary and the Cultural secretary. There is no form of differenciation, and students of different race and ethnicity coexist peacefully. In fact, the BBA Dept organises an ethnic day for the Afghani national students who are a part of the college as well.
No I have not opted for hostel but I heard from hostel people that the facilities are very good and ward is also very nice and good food good facilities good saturation facilities friendly people
No I stayed closeby hence did not attend hostel at all for the three years I studied there hostel was there for students who stayed far off places or inter state students with mess facilities etc good it was.
The infrastructure is attached to the school of the same institute. And campus is quite good but it doesn't have any ground or court for sports. There is a library and reading room and the classroom is well equipped with projecters.
No there is no option for hostel by the college but if someone needs to stay in hostel than there are many options near by they can choose and it's near the city so not a much of a problem.
No.I didn't opt for hostel because my house is very close to the college. Approximately 10mins way.I used to go walking. Hardly few students opted for hostels as everyone used to travel daily to the college. How hostel rooms I don't know I have never been there. I don't know their fees also
No there are no hostels for this college although you can opt for paying guests I don't know their price but it is safe People come from Afghanistan and ghambia to study in our college and they live in rented rooms.
I haven't opted for hostel but some of my friends who are foreign students have told me that the college doesn't have a direct hostel rather they recommend students to visit one accomodation facility that is run by the parent organization of the institution. The facilities there are average.
