Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Hyderabad is one of the oldest public research institutes which has successfully grown as a Statistical Laboratory of India since inception. ISI Hyderabad offers 2 years flagship full time Master of Science(MS) in Quality Management Sciences MS(QMS) where 1st year of the program is carried on at Bangalore and 2nd year at Hyderabad. Besides, the institute also offers JRF in Quality Reliability & Operations Research (QR & OR) and Part-Time Certificate Course in Statistical Quality Control (SQC). Admission to MS & JRF Programmes is based on entrance tests conducted by ISI and PI round followed by an excellent academic record. Candidates seeking admission for certificate courses should have at least one year's working experience in industrial, commercial or scientific organization.

• Accreditations: One of the oldest and premiere colleges, ISI hyderabad has been accredited with ‘the Institution of National Importance' and is approved by the UGC.The institute is Originally affiliated with the University of Calcutta and has been recognized by Associations of Indians Universities (AIU).
• Contingency Grants: AT ISI Hyderabad, candidates admitted to MS) in Quality Management Sciences and JRF in JRF in Quality Reliability & Operations Research programmes receive stipend of INR Rs 300/- per month & contingency grants of INR /-3000 per year as per the rules of the institute. Meanwhile, If a student is getting a scholarship from another government agency then the stipend will be discontinued.
• Selection Criteria: For its flagship MS in QMS Program, shortlisting of candidates to this programme, including the sponsored ones, mainly depends on performance in written test conducted by ISI and subsequent interview round. Academic record may also be considered while selecting the candidates for this program.
• Course Structure: The MS in Quality Management Sciences programme comprises 15 compulsory courses, 2 elective courses and a dissertation in the first three semesters.The full time course also includes live project work during the 4th semester. The classes for the first two semesters will be held in Bengaluru and the same for the third semester in Hyderabad.The fourth semester includes extensive Project work which will be at respective locations.
• Learning Process:The students at ISI Hyderabad are trained to apply contemporary analytical tools to solve practical problems, through various quality improvement project works. The ISI Hyderabad programs are mapped out in such a way that the participants are given cogent theoretical knowledge with live project applications required for quality improvement, optimization and statistical modelling.
• Entrance Exam Pattern: For MS in QMS Program, The written admission test includes multiple-choice and/ or short- answer type questions in Mathematics at the undergraduate level. The entrance exam will be applicable for both academic and sponsored candidates.
• Training & Development: The SQC & OR Unit of ISI Hyderabad has so far successfully delivered about 2000 inplant training programmes across distinguished industries. A special one year full time training course for BHEL engineers was also designed by the institute and several batches of their engineers were trained in this course.

The selection process of getting an admission offer in any of the full time master's program involves the following stages:

Stage I: ISI Hyderabad Admission Procedure is mainly based on the merit list prepared as per the marks obtained by the applicants in the ISI Admission Test. 

Stage II: based on the merit obtained in the entrance test, the shortlisted candidates are called to participate in the Personal Interview Round conducted at the ISI Hyderabad Campus.

Stage III: Considering the performance in ISI Admission test, PI Round as well as the Past Academic Records, a final composite merit list is prepared to offer final admission to the selected students.
