Smt. P.N. Doshi Women’s College was established by the SPRJ Kanyashala Trust, a pioneer in women’s education, in 1960. The college started with five students in BA and has now grown into a multi-faculty institution with five thousand students. College was accredited thrice with ‘A’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college offers numerous conventional and professional courses, diploma courses and add-on courses. Admission to the college is done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the last qualifying examination.
It provides education to nearly 5000 girls through Junior colleges (Affiliated to HSC Board), Degree colleges offering conventional and professional courses as well as Post graduate programs, Diploma Institutes (Affiliated to S.N.D.T. Women’s University), Add-on courses and a Career Institute, all under one roof. The trust also manages two schools, which are from pre-primary section to secondary section (Std. X). The college has a total faculty of around 50 members and all of them are highly experienced. SPN Doshi Placement Cell has tie ups with numerous companies that recruit students from various courses. Some of the top recruiters of this institute are Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc.

Smt. P.N. Doshi Women's College conducts training activities for employability skills, soft skills and certificate courses and other activities like workshops, guest lectures, etc.
- Training activities include Youth Employability program of Technoserve which developa employability skills among the students and provide placement support. The program consists of 60 hours worth of training to make students corporate ready, and is sponsored by Citi Foundation, the CSR arm of CitiBank.
- Brightwayz is an organisation that coaches students to appear in entrance exams of MBA, Banking, UPSC/ MPSC and other competitive exams. The curriculum covered is largely common across these exams and so also the training.
- NISM trains students for their course on Mutual Fund Distribution. ICICI Securities Ltd. sponsored the training, exam fees and also fees for registration with AMFI to deal in Mutual Funds. Students can then practice as Independent Financial Advisers.
- Light bulb skill development training program provides communication skills, self development, personal presentation, basic grammar, public speaking, business etiquette, email writing, etc. over 30 hours.

I had applied in K J somaiya, as the seats were full, so I had to take admission in Smt. P. N Doshi women's college. It was my last option to apply to any college. The admission process is all offlineyou have to stand in the queue and there are certain counter and procedures which needs to be followed.

admission process was not much hard at my time beacuse there were no cet exams like now. eligibilty of the course is 10+2 in science and commerce.maths subject should be mandatory now. application form and other procedure is available in college website.

- The things which are not so good in college is the bathrooms which are not so clean, taps sometimes does not work properly
- Limited extracurricular activities are been provided to students. Poor quality canteen food as food is not provided so good in college.
Admission:
You should atleast score 60% to 65% in 12th to fall under the eligibility criteria. Maths and English, Non-Maths students can apply for bca courses it's for arts, science and commerce. The exams are not so hard qts papers and qts bank are been provided by teachers if you study from day one onwards you will easily score good marks in exam. As of exams are imp practicals and viva are also important for bca course as we need to work more hard on practicals which is practising our coding languages and learning properly.

Teachers have cleared all the doubts. We get the form from the Swadhar office and the teachers tell us everything, how to fill it and what documents are required. Students who fall into one of the reserved categories—st/sc/obc/vjnt—are eligible for a variety of scholarship benefits. The government offers the GOI scholarship, for which the college staff offers assistance in filing. Department teachers also provide guidance in this regard. There are additional fee concession for Gujarati and Jain students. For gujrati 50 percentage and for jain 100 percentage concession fee.
