B. Borooah College came into existence in the year 1943 and located in the city of Guwahati (Assam). It is accredited by NAAC with 'A' Grade and affiliated to Gauhati University. B. Borooah College offers admissions into undergraduate courses of B.A, B.Sc, BBA and postgraduate course of M.Sc.

Students interested in applying for undergraduate courses shall be admitted directly through the merit of marks obtained in HSC qualifying examination.
To seek admissions they must have passed their HSC exam in a relevant stream.
Admissions in case of Master’s courses of Chemistry and Geography shall be based on entrance exam conducted by the college.

The college also runs postgraduate course of M.Sc in four subject specializations. The admissions to M.Sc Geography and Chemistry shall be affected on the basis of entrance test conducted by the college for students applying from a University other than Gauhati University.

Those applying for M.Sc in Zoology and Botany shall be admitted on the basis of merit as per the marks secured in bachelor’s degree. The eligibility criteria for PG shall be as given below:

The way the help the students regarding the doubts
Classes are quite large and clean , digital classes are also there

Dislikes

Late coming of teachers in the classroom
Not informing about classes wheather they will take class or not

Admission:

The cut-off is different for different subjects . In some subjects there is high cut-off like political science , economics, geography and in some subjects the cut-off is very less like philosophy education . There is also reservation system where student with low marks get admission because of reservation but a intelligent one left because of high cut-off and less seat

Study environment flexible being a semi government just the proper teacher on time classes schedule needs to be improved.
Social interactions were better with each new day and a new beginning with new students to catch up with.

Dislikes

Class timings and schedule lectures needs to be more accurate
teachers on time with syllabus updated version needs more updated with latest and upcoming day to day versions.

Admission:

application through offline admission through cut off is organised, brochure published by college during admission process selection through above 80% cut off More flexibility needed in form fill ups for examination to give proper information to student.

Auditorium is huge ...and is named after great Dr Bhupendra Hazarika

Dislikes

Playground is too small..and is used as a parking
No proper equipments for outdoor games..

Admission:

The admission process was smooth. I didn't took any entrance exam...the admission process is overall good. Ews and sports quotas are there. The college is good ... atmosphere is good.. infrastructure is average

Admission:

Minimum 75% in class 12 is required to get admission into the Bboroah college.There would be very low fees as it is a government institute. Yes we have reservation benifits also. Nothing to improve in our admission process.

Admission:

The course was very good. The course was very smooth and moderate to study. The application forms are available on the B.Boroah College website. Reservation was there for SC, ST(p), ST(h), OBC. I want that the admission process for every semester should be done in a proper way not in a hurry condition.

The students are selected strictly on a merit basis. Students need to pass the 12th exam for applying in this course. There are different categories under merit list for General, OBC, SC, ST, PwD students. The application form can be found in the college website.

Admission:

1)The eligibility of the course is to pass class 12 from any state or Central board examination in any stream for geography And for the admission I took the entrance examination which was held by the college itself 2) The application file will be in the website and the registration fees was Rs 300 it might vary according to your domicile state ,and application dates and information will be in the official website of the college. 3) The only benifit for reservation is that you will get addmission if you don't have chartbuster percentage or score. 4) Everything was great in the addmission process except that the website doesn't told about the syllabus and what to read for the entrance examination it must be improved.

Admission:

The admission procedure is based on marks obtained by the candidate and from higher to lower ranks. Once you get admission you need to appear for the entrance examinations of respective departments that you want to get major on it. It is good to appear in two or more departmental entrance examinations to be sure for your selection in any department that you want so far. After a couple of days, they declare results and you get to opt for your favorite department if you get selected in more than one department. After that your initial days in the department started.
