Patna Women’s College is a constituent college of Patna University. It was established in 1940 to impart quality education in the fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Management and Computer Applications at UG and PG level. It was the first institution of higher learning opened to cater the educational needs of women in Bihar.At present, Patna Women’s College offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA. BCA, BMC, B.Ed, MA, MCA and PG Diploma courses in various disciplines.
- Admission to all UG, PG and PG Diploma courses is based on the Patna University Common Entrance Test (PUCET) conducted by the college followed by an Interview and counselling.
- Final admission confirmation is subject to course-wise merit list and availability of seats.
- Final admission to B.Ed is subject to counselling conducted by Patna University.
- There is no entrance exam for MA (Home Science) program. Candidates are selected on the basis of their marks in the last qualifying examination.
- Admission form can be filled online followed by final submission at college. The application fee can be paid By Credit/ Debit Card or through Challan.

Patna Women’s College UG Admission 2024: BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, BMC & B.Ed
Patna Women’s College offers BA, BBA, BCA, BMC, B.Com, B.Sc and B.Ed courses in various specializations at UG level. The basic eligibility criteria is 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board. - Admissions in Under-Graduate course shall be made purely on the basis of merit list prepared after the Entrance Test conducted by Patna University.

Patna Women’s College offers MA, MCA and PG Diploma courses at postgraduate level. For admission to M.A. Home Science program, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Home Science or allied subject while BCA/ B.Sc. IT/ B.Sc. - The teaching here is of top notch quality. Teachers are well trained and educated. They give personal attention to students .

- Rules are quite strict here. Students are supposed to follow every rule and regulation of the college.
- Some non teaching staffs are quite arrogant in nature.
Admission:
I opted for BA geography hons and for that any student is eligible who has passed from a recognised board .The application form , fees and dates are updated on the college website. Reservation benefits are applied in the time of application. The frequency of exams is regular and their level is easy to moderate.

- Teachers are very good in this college.
Dislikes
- It is very strict college according to discipline.

After filling up the form there will be an entrance exam of each course provided by the college . After every 6 month exams are held and the questions are quite difficult to solve . There will always be a peer pressure on students.

Admission:
The admission process was easy as it took entrance test and I scored 88% and the cut off system was good. Many students get reservation as backward classes. As I was from COVID batch so the admission process was not that hard.
Likes
- Discipline inside the college. All things are completed on time. Staff and teachers are so punctual there.
- Cleanliness inside the college. College is so beautiful and clean. Hygiene are maintained very well.
Dislikes
- There should be more number of teachers in each department.
- Number of classroom should be increased.

For undergraduate courses you have to complete your 12th with minimum marks 55%. For postgraduate courses you have to complete your undergraduate course with 55% marks. Application form available on the official website of the college. Reservation benefits available on form fee. Entrance exam occurs to take admission in the college which is moderate level. It may occur via written or interview depends upon in which department you wanted to take admission.

- Usage of smartphones is strictly prohibited inside the college campus
- Syllabus is never completed on time which leads to extra classes .
Admission:
The eligibility of the course is that students from commerce stream must have a aggregate 50% marks in 12th boards whereas the students from non-commerce streams must have 60% marks aggregate. Application forms can be found online at the college website. The application form costs around 1500. The college conducts two types of exams Mid semester examinations and end semester examination. The mid semester examination comprises of 15 marks whereas the end semester examination comprises of 70 marks

- The teachers are qualified and professional here. They will make you feel comfortable in there presence.
Dislikes
- Sometimes the 75% attendance compulsion get hectic for students. Because even if you have medical reasons, you still have to do several assignments as penalty.
- You can not use mobile phones in the campus even if it is for emergency purposes.
Admission:
To pursue a BBA from PWC, you have to complete your high school education with a minimum of 60%. There is no compulsion of any specific streams in class 12th. However one has to appear for the entrance exam to be eligible for the course. You have to pass the entrance exam and then go through the interview process.

- This college offers a great surrounding to improve the skills. It also have a multi cuisine cafeteria.
- It provides a wide variety of placements.

- Mobile phone inside the college campus is not allowed.

Admission:
Firstly we have to fill out our college admission form after that entrance exam will be helded. The college select the students who clear the college entrance exam and then they call students with their documents for admission. Eligibility of the course is that student must score above 45% in their 12th board examination of any board. Student must find the application form, applications fees and dates from the college website. Talking about the frequency and timing of exams there are 100 multiple choice questions and duration time was 1.5 hours. Questions are divided into many sections like english, general knowledge, reasoning question and basic mathematics. In my perspective, the questions level were moderate and almost basic that all of us had must learnt in our school times.

- Overall experience in Patna women's college is very much good. In this college we not only get educated also we make ourselves bold and strong in any way.
- Canteen is also good here and campus is supercool.
Dislikes
- Using phones are restricted in the campus also.
- Some teachers do discrimination between their department students to other departments students.
Admission:
It was not as tough as I thought. Entrance exam cut off was not too high....I have given online entrance exam. And it was good results. Admission process was also quite good. It takes too much time for me because first time is always nervoused.

Admission:
You're eligible for masters in geography if you have done bachelor's in arts. Application form for PWC gets available on its website only around the months of March and April. Previously the college didn't conduct any entrance exam, it was just the interview process which decided for the admission but in recent years some departments have started conducting exams. But for geography it's still the interview cum councilling session. Basically you need to get good marks in your undergrad to get selected here nothing else. As far as reservations as concerned, there is nominal caste based reservation though Cristian students get preference.
