Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the M.Phil. program, the candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a respective discipline with a minimum of 55% marks
Selection Criteria
Admission to the program will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Entrance exam followed by an Interview. The entrance test shall be conducted by the University and shall comprise two parts, each of one hour duration.
How to Apply for Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College?
For Aided Courses
- The forms are easily available offline, and can be obtained from the college itself for which a payment of INR. 50 has to be made for UG courses and INR. 60 for PG courses.
- These forms are to be submitted separately. After the announcement of the 12th mark sheet within 10 days the application forms should be filled along with all necessary documents and they should be submitted in the college.
For PG courses one can submit the application form in the fifth semester rather than waiting for the sixth semester along with the photocopies of the mark sheets till the fifth semester. If in any case, a candidate fails in his or her sixth semester, his or her admission will be canceled.
The candidates who are selected will be informed by a post. Their presence is required at college at a specific date and time for a personal interview along with their parents/guardians.
For Self-Financed Courses: The form can be obtained from the self-financing institute office by paying the required fee.
Application Fee: INR.100/- in person or by sending a demand draft for INR.125/- for U.G.courses, INR.150/- in person or by sending a demand draft for INR.175/- for P.G. courses and INR.200/- in person or by sending a D.D. for INR.225/- for M.Phil.
The DD has to be drawn in favor of- The Secretary, Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College, Madurai (money orders/postal orders are not accepted).
Note- A separate application is to be submitted for each course.
The following certificates(original & 3 xerox copies at the time of the Interview) should be produced.

I applied for this college by filling up the admission form which need to be collected from the college campus physically and pay Rs.50 in person . Selection is wholly based on merit in 12th standard .

The selection was on the basis of State board examinations conducted for 10+2. I secured 95% in my board examination and filled the application form available online. After submitting the documents I was called up on the campus for the counselling and orientation and confirm to my admission.
