In our clg we have intership cell which provide us with intership under advocates and judges too of high court and SC. Some of them are paid and some are not. Law is a diverse field and we have a lot of different opportunities in intership. There is a diverse area of intership
Ola and TCS visited for last year's placement. They took in 10 (3 & 7 students) in total with 7.5 lakh per annum to everybody. This was the first time placements happening here as the course started in 2013 itself (2018 batch didn't get any placement). Bad thing about this was our law faculty didn't give a damn to the recruiters for providing them facilities nor our faculty approached many people to invite them for recruitment. They came, they selected best candidates, all by themselves and they went.Yes, all selected one are doing their job Really well. (They joined 2, 3 months after their course completion)2 of them left their job to join some tire-1 law firms.
The placement given by our faculty of law is absolutely right here 70 to 80% students got placed in different companies, form or under senior advocates. Our college provides internship program and all documents which is useful for internship is given by them
Our college however lacks in providing internship till now. However, internship committee is already formed and it is working in the direction to provide with ample number of options. The alumni of BHU Law School are mostly in litigation field hence the contacts are very helpful in Litigation. To remind, the Chairman of Law Comission - Mr. B.S. Chauhan is also a notable alumni of BHU.
Although this school is widely famous for producing judges.but unfortunately there is not satisfactory placement ratio from this school. But even there are Few students each year got placed in different PSUs and corporate sector as a legal officer. This law school provide internship twice in evety year in different Courts of india.
College provides us recommendation letter for internship, through which we apply for internship. I've passed my 2nd semester I've done my internships at NALSA, NCDRC and NCPCR respectively for no stipend. Some of my classmates have done their internship for stipend of 5-7k per month. Besides that there are various seniors who have done their internships at top law firms like ABZ, Luthra and trilegal etc.
No, college does not provide any internship. It all depends on individual and his talents. Though some teachers can get you opportunities with their personal contacts. They guide us and help us through the entire process but it depends on us if we want to do internship from that place or not.
