About MGM
Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College was founded in the year 1949. It was established by the late Dr. T.M.A. Pai, architect of modern Manipal. MGM is one of the largest and the most respected colleges in the Karnataka. MGM offers with Arts, Science and Commerce programs in the district. The college has state of the infrastructure with all essential facilities at the campus. The college offers with PG, Degree and Diploma courses in the above respective fields to the students. In addition it also offers with UGC sponsored certificate & diploma in career oriented programs. The faculty of the institute is experienced and qualified in their respective filed.

I applied for doc ( department of commerce ) in manipal but i couldn't get the seat in the department of commerce the only other options i has was ppc and mgm since mgm is a bit free i applied for mgm

- If you’re planning for post graduation our college will be a perfect choice as the MAHE gives preference to our college

- Extended class hours on some days can be tiring sometimes

Compared to fees and other college it offers better education faculty and labs compared to other college for good fee structure which gives me a good growth and get me to MAHE which is a tie up with our college for post graduation

You should be 12th pass in the respective fields you want to pursue your degree in, there are reservations for students who learnt in the same institution. application is filled out online. Then students are called for offline admission

This course is only available in our college and there are no other colleges providing you with the best teaching facilities and main placement with fees which are comparatively economical

It was a good experience to study since I was native to that place I opt to go there only, the campus was good and clean, and well maintained. The admission process will be completed if u have proper documents, they will not stretch the process. after your Pu exam, you better go and ask once when they will start the admission process and you could go and apply there.BSc BA BCA Bcom options are there.it seems for BSC they will keep percentage criteria and seets were limited when I joined. I had done my Bsc over there and the facilities were good and friendly. Canteen is there, one of the best canteen, good food in minimum price and u can have trash talk there most of the canteen people-friendly, surely you will spend great moments over in canteen than in classes...classes are okay and placement is there when I was there Infosys and Wipro Accenture and TCS came. overall it is a good college and you leave with good memories and your dreams will be in your hand if u wish to do it

Teaching method is good and they teach very well. Students will loose their confidence in innovation and implementation of their ideas. Because of less interaction of teachers with the students. Practical session of teaching is also best. Each student provided with computer.

I hope the syllabus contains more about recent innovation and discoveries rather than sticking to the same old syllabus. More of practical knowledge will definitely help. Other than that all is good.

Mgm is best and reasonanle college in udupi.with good campus,good staff,good lab,big stadium,huge hall,best library apart from that there are som loopholes like some roofing problem,drainage,etc.some teachers need good academic knowledge.
