How To Apply for TNEA?
Eligible students can apply for TNEA by following the given steps for registration, with a fee of INR 500 (for general category) and INR 250 (for reserved category):
- Visit the official website of TNEA and click on the “Online Registration” link.
- Candidates need to first register by creating a login ID and password through an OTP verification.
- After the registration, candidates can log in with their username and password.

I personally got management seat.So I visited the college first.I didn't write any entrance exam.But the college conducts in certain time period.If students are interested they can take it.For my seat I have paid about one and half lakhs because my cutoff is not up to the mark.The fees will be reduced according to the mark.And our college itself guiding us for the fees if we are not able to pay the fee.

We should have more than 196.5 for admission for OC and 199 for OBC on state board 12th cutoff marks but SC students can enter with 178 and above cutoff The admission for merit candidates are over tamilnadu government's engineering counselling where we have apply and fill choices and for management quota we have to visit directly to college and get application. The state's 69% reservation policy is followed on 55% of counselling seats. The admission process in too lengthy with many forms the number of forms to be filled can be reduced

Admission process is through TNEA councelling and I got a cutoff of 194.5 which was good, so put mech at psg as first choice and I got it. Mine was an open category admission. If your reservation allows you can get admitted even at a lower cutoff. Note that it is at 2021. Cutoffs now can beuch higher

The eligibility of the course depends on the cutoff mark of the students which is calculated based on the marks obtained by the students in their class 12 examinations. The admissions are based on the TNEA counselling. Some % of students are admitted through management quota. The cutoff would be quite higher for the general and BC candidates as it is one of the established institutions in the country.

- College starts by 8.30 and gets over by 4.30 and then we have to be here until 5.30 for our placement classes

We must have a average of 80% in 12th board exams(physics and maths).We will have an entrance exam and an interview .Around 600 peopple will be interviewed and 160 people will be chosen and some will be in waiting list.

- Loved the infrastructure. They have all the facilities in the campus. Access to library, computer center, highly hygienic canteen, first-aid and well maintained classroom and labs
- Faculties are truly a major plus point to PSG tech. They are too friendly and we can ask any type of doubt in terms of studies and career. If the student is from rural area, they are paying special attention and make sure that they get everything

Admission:
There are two ways to join PSG Tech. Through Anna University Counseling, if we have a good cut-off mark. During counseling, two types of seats will be available. One has a government-sponsored seat and the government does not sponsor the other one. The difference between these two is the fees. The first one will cost around 25k per year whereas the other will cost around 55k. But the hostel fees are the same for all the students. PSG has its reserved seats called management seats. The fees are much more high compared to counseling seats. It costs around 1.25L and it varies every year and for each department. PSG is a good place to start your career as an engineer.

What is the procedure for taking admission in PSG college of technology through Lateral Entry?
For taking admission to PSG College of Technology through lateral entry, there are two main ways. The first is through counseling and the second through management quota. A detailed description of the processes of both ways is listed below.
- For admission through counseling, you have to register for the counseling session that is conducted at Alagappa Chettiar University at Karaikudi.
- The chances of getting a call for counseling depend on your final year diploma result percentage. To be very clear, you will receive a call for the first day of counseling, or have a rank of at least 10, have very high chances of getting admission at PSG college of technology.
- For general category students, a percentage of at least 96% is required for PSG. For BC or MBC students, a score above 94% seems to be a good enough score and for SC/ SCA/ ST, it is 92% and above in general.
- Coming to the second way, students from any state can take admission in PSG College of Technology through management quota.
- The fees for management quota seats at PSG vary from Rs. 5 to Rs. 10 Lakhs donation amount, which is quite a huge sum.
- The application for admission of lateral entry students is issued at all government institutes in all districts of Tamil Nadu and is mostly released during mid of May.
- The application cost is free for SC/ST students provided they submit an attested copy of the community certificate during the time of application filling.

The admission criteria for the M. E. course at the college is you are required to have GATE or TANCET valid score that will be followed by the TANCA counselling process. After that, students will call for document verification.
