About VVCE MCA
Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) in Mysuru offers a two-year, full-time MCA with 120 seats. The department started in 2024, so its first batch finishes in 2026. You need 50% across all years of the degree; SC, ST and Category-1 students of Karnataka need 45%. The degree is a BCA, a B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, or a B.Sc, B.Com or B.A. with Maths. You also need a PGCET MCA rank. If you are short of the marks, KEA will not round them up.

VVCE MCA Scholarships
The SC/ST fee concession takes INR 1.14 Lakhs off the course fee, and Vidyasiri pays INR 30,000 over two years. The concession gives the most. SC and ST students of Karnataka with family income up to INR 10 Lakhs pay only INR 750 at KEA. Vidyasiri is for backward class students who do not get a government hostel seat.

Should you pick MCA at VVCE?
This course suits graduates near Mysuru who want an IT job and can wait for the first MCA placement results.
Pick it if:
You hold a Kalyana Karnataka certificate: that quota's General seat closed at rank 5,831 in round 1 of 2026, much later than the main list.
You want the IT companies that already hire here: the placement cell holds drives for MCA too, and its 2025-26 list names Infosys, IBM and Kyndryl.
You live near Mysuru and will travel daily: the MCA brochure lists a free college bus, so you can skip the hostel fee.
