The course started with a PrePhd course, and we had to pass 8 papers to qualify to start the formal work. It was an excellent and up-to-date course where we studied a lot of research papers and participated in research-oriented group discussions.
The companies that visit the campus to hire interns are top-notch, such as TATA AIG, BAJAJ Allianz, E&Y, etc.

Dislikes

The course curriculum is outdated, with all the outdated subjects being taught. No revision of the syllabus takes place. Additionally, this year they have also changed the exam structure, making it fully internalized.
I have not availed any, but they provide concessions very well to poor children who cant afford their fees. They also use their funds for the development of the college and work to help poor families with their daily necessities

Return on investment is really good, the college is pretty affordable.
Social life, students can really enjoy at PU, due to its environment.

Dislikes

Infrastructure, the building are pretty old and can be given a makeover.
Practical knowledge, the subjects mainly focuses on theoretical knowledge rather then practical.

Placement Experience:

In december of first year the summer internship process starts. The students get chance to work in big companies for 2 months ( may-june) companies like dabur, amexx ( and many more) visits the campis for the SIP drive. In the second year , in month of december the final placement drive takes place where all the second year students are placed, last year average package was 13.72 lakh and highest package was 58.5 lakhs which was offered by trident for HR profile.

Return on investment is very good which can't be compared with any college in region except du.

Dislikes

Politics in selection process for various clubs.
Most companies coming for placement are from sales .

University business School have good placement record i.e 100% as they say, various companies like American express, trident, Adani gas, air india , hdfc ,dabur etc have visited campus for placements.1 st semester students are eligible for summer placement and 3 rd semester students are eligible for final placement offers.

There is good placement record in University business school, last year report being 13.72 lpa average. Companies such as Deloite KPMG Infosys visit the campus for final placement. Majorly you will be able to secure a Marketing and Sales oriented placement

Placements are good. The average placement of last year is 1372000 but this year drops a little. Although there is no official report till now for this year but internally we know it drops this year .

Placements: Placements has to be one of the main factor in UBS. With a fees of Rs 38k, a 13 lakh PPO is too good.
Campus life: Punjab university has the best campus life. One can understand this only if they visit the campus once.

Dislikes

Shortage of manpower: Due to the university system and problems lying in it, there has been no recruitments for the last 7 years. This has created a shortage of profoessors in the college which needs to e=be fixed ASAP.
Hostel allotment: More hostel seats must be alloted to the students. It took me 3 months to get a hostel seat.

Placement Experience:

The campus provides 100% placements on various fields. For the Batch of 2023, a total of 115 students were placed on different fields with an average CTC of Rs 13,69,568 (audited). Some of the prominent recruiters include Tolaram group, American express, Trident, Adani group, Mahindra and Mahindra, EY, TATA Group, Acquity, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, MG motors, Euler, Volvo group, Kornferry etc. The highest international package offered was 58 LPA from Tolaram group and highest domestic package was offered by Trident that is of 35 LPA. Apart from this, students of UBS can also opt for central placement wherein companies like Bain & Company, BCG visit regularly.

The placements in the college are quite good, with top-notch companies of the industry visiting the campus to hire students, it includes HSBC, SmartCube, Infosys. HDFc etc. The Highest package offered is around 50 lakhs by Tolaram Group, with an average package of around 8-9 lakhs.

Twenty percent of people got really good placements till 12 lakh per annum and one person even got 40 lakh placement. 60 percent of people were placed easily. The rest faced some difficulty. Maximum marketing profiles were offered.
