Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM) offers PGDM and MBA at an affordable cost. Though both the courses are offered with high value additions, TSM places PGDM as the flagship course. Shortlisting is based on the score in CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/GMAT exams, past academic record and relevant work experience. However, the final selection is based on the performance in GD-PI-WAT process.
TSM is one of the oldest B-School located in Madurai. It is AICTE approved and has an “A” grade accreditation from NBA/NAAC. The institute is affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU). MBA and PGDM offers the following specializations: Marketing, Finance, Operation, Human Resources and System. In MBA, 60 seats are filled through Direct Admission and 60 seats are filled through TANCET Counselling.

- Firstly, the school shortlists candidates on the basis of CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/GMAT score, Past Academic Record (X, XII and Graduation), and Work Experience (if any).
- The shortlisted candidates are called for Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Written Ability Test (GD-PI-WAT).
- At the time of PI, candidates are examined on the basis of written, verbal and analytical abilities.
- For GD-PI, candidates have to pay an amount of INR 900/-.

Ques. Does TSM offer summer internships to students?
Ans. Yes, students are required to take a compulsory summer internship. PGDM students are required to take 3 months of internship, mainly from April-June, and MBA students must have 2 months of internship from May-June. Also, a Summer internship also provides the possibility of a pre-placement offer (PPO) and increases their placement chances.
Ques. Is it necessary for PGDM students to have work experience at TSM?
Ans. No. It is NOT mandatory or a prerequisite to have work experience for PGDM/MBA program. However, work experience after graduation (if any, after B.Tech./B.Sc./B.Com. etc.) will be given additional weightage while shortlisting students for both PGDM and MBA programs.

I got to know about this university on Youtube where I saw a promotional video advertisement while watching a random video. When I searched for the MBA program on its official website, I found the fees structure and several facilities best fit as per my expectations. I confirmed my decision over the call while contacting the admission officer in the campus. My application fees was ?â_500, and my selection process comprised of a written eligibility test, group discussion round and eventually a personal interview round. My CAT score was 65 percentile.

TS< chooses the best candidate for the college. The college accepts MAT, GMAT, CAT, XAT and TANCET exams. I applied for admission through my MAT scores and I was eligible to attend the PI and GD. I was selected in the overall process and offered a seat. IF your entrance exam scores are up to a good level then we can get into the college. If any person has prior experience in work then it would add them more points.

The college provided me with many extracurricular activities equal to academics. I came out of my comfort zone and felt very comfortable to be in college. My professors all were friendly and helped me out in all aspects of the college. I got into the college with my +2 marks.

The high advantage of PGDM is that you will be involved with a lot of practical sessions rather than classroom learning. Moreover, PGDM is offered only by institutes recognized by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) and TSM has been also awarded NBA and NAAC Accreditation. Pgdm is where you can build your soft skills and the curriculum is flexible and does not have to follow university standards and also can be changed by the institutes according to the industry requirements. For admission, You need to take up entrance tests like MAT.CAT,XAT,CMAT and the candidate must have 3 years of bachelor's degree from a recognized university by the UGC. Candidates can apply for admission once the dates are released and the shortlisted candidates need to attend the GD followed by the PI. Candidates from Tamil Nadu can take up the state level entrance examination TANCET and students can apply for counseling and selected candidates are exempted from the GD/PI process and can directly take up admission.
