As I have varied work experience my target was to pursue a course where I can diversify my knowledge base through experiential learning and gain expertise in a few domains. The teaching pedagogy followed here involves case studies, presentations, assignments, and group discussions which help us to look at a single problem from multiple perspectives. Student to teacher ratio at SJMSOM is ~2.8:1 considering all the faculties (core, adjunct, and visiting). There is a semester system and in each semester there are 2 terms. Each term has mid-term exams, assignments, projects, and end-term exams. Though the course is rigorous it is not difficult to pass. One can get enough free time to focus on other aspects apart from academics as well.

I chose this course as I was interested in pursuing a career in operations management. The faculties were renowned and the school has a good stature in the corporate world. The faculty: Student ratio is roughly 3:1 and the faculties are majority doctorates. The teaching methodology is that of case studies and class discussions and students are kept busy all year long due to assignments. Although it becomes hectic, the assignments are insightful and do not spark fatigue. The courses were easy to understand and the faculties were very helpful.

I had work experience in supply chain and wanted to pursue my career in the operations domain. SJMSOM is known best for its operations. For operations, they have highly experienced faculty. For other subjects as well faculty are highly qualified with master's, and Ph.D. from foreign universities. The student-to-faculty ratio is approximately 10:2, Teaching methodology varies from prof to prof but mostly all faculty follow case-based teaching, putting us into the shoes of managers and making us learn to think like a manager through different cases and examples. In one semester there are two terms, each term has one midterm and one end sem examination. Apart from this regular presentations and assignments. But still, the curriculum is not very hectic, we can manage to have spare time left after classes and assignments and it's not very difficult to pass the examinations.
I was interested in doing MBA from a college with a better ROI. The course curriculum is very comprehensive and up to the business standards. The faculty to the student is very good for every 5 students we have one faculty. Faculties have done their PhD from world renowned Universities. The exams are conducted 4 times per year. The exams are more practical and it's quite easy to pass. The grading system is very good at SJMSOM
